Nice and new hotel with a few drawbacks…

I have stayed here for three nights. What I liked about the hotel is that the building is new and so are the rooms and the equipment. The hotel approached me upfront to inform about their prime location and therefore being close to the water festival with expected noise. I thought that was a nice gesture. The room was nice and comfortable. Equipped with a fridge, daily cleaned and free WiFi. Unfortunately that internet connection was not working for the TV. None off the 100 programs did work! When you were lucky the TV played the sound but the picture was not visible. Most probably because of their slow internet connection! So be prepared that you can’t watch TV! What I did not observe while booking my room was that it faced the Atrium, means the Lobby down there and you are constantly facing the other rooms. You need to have your curtains closed at ALL times! Further all noise from the Lobby can be heard! Groups of tourists arriving 11pm and their tour guide is shouting to inform the group. And of course not only the group, all rooms facing the Atrium. Then you have drunken shouting people as well. What I don’t get is, why the reception is not telling them to lower their voice? Additional you have no chance to see if the sun shines or if it rains. Cruise ships have cameras and you can see in the TV then what weather to expect. I’ll not get why this isn’t possible at hotels for these rooms. Breakfast is not automatically included like other Ibis Styles hotels but is paid extra. It runs from 6.30‘ to 10.30 but if you arrive after 8 some of the selections are already gone. There were no rolls available anymore, one of the two fresh fruits were already gone and then replaced with simple bananas. I think this shouldn’t happen! Otherwise the breakfast is ok. It’s nice that they have a noodle and egg station where you can get your order done. Being Accor Gold there was a information letter in the room about the benefits and three fruits. Drink voucher could be used at the bar but unfortunately no beer or glas of wine offered.

I loved the location of this hotel - close to pub street and the night market - but once in our room it was dead quiet. The room was clean and basic but very functional for what we needed. One shared door for the bathroom and shower took some getting used to though. It was also difficult to open - the seal was very strong! Breakfast was nothing special - basic hotel breakfast of croissants, cereal, toast and some Asian dishes. I would’ve preferred a greater pastry selection but you can buy muffins in the cafe (owned by the hotel). If we returned I’d stay here again.

Perfectly located near night market, street markets and pub street! Modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Room is comfortable and bed was firm. Room temperature was easily maintained. Shower had hot water as needed. Infinity pool on rooftop had a great view of the city. Buffet breakfast was good but limited choices. Automatic coffee machine was great!

Perfect location. Walking distance to markets, Pub street. Plenty of restaurants around. The hotel restaurant is also good and inexpensive. Clean, quiet room. Fast wifi. My rate didn’t include breakfast but you can order from the menu for 3-4$, or buffet I think was 8$.
