Practical stay, but lacked a bit of charm

Après avoir fait Edimbourg, Glasgow est une plus grande ville donc pas vraiment comparable. Mais nous étions un petit plus déçues car nous n'avons pas compris pourquoi nous avions eu la chambre handicapée. Après pour avoir de la place nous avons eu de la place. Le staff était plus traditionnel, ibis c'est une chaîne moins cosy que d'autres mais qui a fait le taf pour notre séjour. Toutefois si c'était à refaire, je choisirai un autre hôtel. Attention, cela reste bien qualité/prix et emplacement pour cette ville. Et grâce au petit déjeuner que nous avons fait une fois, nous avons pu découvrir le Haggis (spécialité culinaire écossaise). After visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow feels like a much larger city, so they aren't really comparable. We were a little disappointed as we didn't understand why we were given an accessible (disabled) room. On the plus side, we certainly had plenty of space! The staff was more traditional, and while Ibis is a chain and less cozy than other places, it did the job for our stay. However, if I were to do it again, I would choose a different hotel. That being said, it is still good value for money and well-located for this city. Also, thanks to the breakfast we had once, we were able to try Haggis (a Scottish culinary specialty) for the first time

Understated hotel but actually quite cool. Nice staff, very good location with lots of very good eating places nearby. In middle of shopping area and close to train stations

Fab hotel spotlessly clean, great location, extremely helpful staff very friendly. Breakfast and Bar very good. Excellent atmosphere.

If you want value, location and a bit of style, then book now. We were combining a gig with some Christmas shopping, great location being 5 minutes from the station and all shops, included a proper breakfast, and staff very nice and we were able to leave our bags, it will be our go to for Glasgow trips for the future...

Writing this mostly to find the Italian man I spoke to on October 7th, 2025. The staff were all great, the rooms very clean and I loved the bar/restaurant area that’s open 24 hours. To Giorgio, 29, from Northern Italy that I spoke to after putting in my free drink ticket, hi! I’m sorry I didn’t get your details but I do hope you see this. Thank you for a great conversation, promise I don’t have Italian food in Paris. I will be heading to Italy next year in June. Hoping Cortina d'Ampezzo is the area you live in. I hope the rest of Scotland was a good trip for you :).
