O Hotel não gosta de crianças, esse é o resumo. Tentamos fazer uma reserva para comemorar meu aniversário de 40 anos em Dezembro e pedimos a suite, o hotel respondeu que a suite não permite crianças, mas olhamos a foto e tinha sofá cama. Depois de muita conversa, tive que enviar um email, pedindo autorização especial a gerente Nadja, com cópia ao Antonio da Recepção e não tive resposta formal, mas ao cobrar retorno pelo telefone fui informado que abririam uma exceção por seu meu aniversário, mas eu teria que assinar um termo de responsabilidade sobre a conduta do meu filho (10 anos) e ainda pagar uma taxa extra pelo exceção aberta, um valor que eles cobram quando excepcionalmente permitem criança ficar na suíte. A impressão como pai é que, sem eles conhecerem, meu filho era um monstrinho e que iria fazer uma festa e quebrar tudo na suíte. Já nos hospedamos com ele em hoteis na Suiça, Portugal, Espanha, Uruguai, Argentina, Chile e em diversas unidades no Brasil e NUNCA, absolutamente NUNCA passamos por isso, como pai fiquei muito revoltado com a postura desse hotel, situado em uma região turística que com certeza é frequentado por famílias. Gostaria de saber se a diretoria da rede Accor ratifica esse posicionamento do hotel? E por fim, depois de muitas conversas no qual fiz perguntas claras sobre a forma de pagamento ao Antonio do setor de reservas, na hora de concretizar o mesmo disse que o preço feito por ele não permitira usar meus pontos, ou seja, o que adianta ter mais de 100 mil pontos no programa, ter fidelidade e se não pode usar?

Hotel novo, moderno, café da manhã muito bom e ótimo atendimento! Fica próximo a Balneário Camboriú, ao Beto Carrero e ao Aeroporto de Navegantes. Em frente ao Porto de Itajaí. Hospedagem super agradável!

New hotel with modern style and just what you need. Basic not luxurious but nice. Looks at port with pool top restaurant and nice coffee stand in lobby and good bar. Central location. In 2022 just a few years old. Good mini bar choice. Even room look at water.

Great hotel - front desk could get some training

Second time i stayed in this hotel, great modern and clean hotel! Only the frontdesk could really get some additional training. We arrived 00:05 and where really tired from our trip, but the staff was busy with another client. Because of the fact that the staff didn't know how the system worked, it took more then 50 minutes to check-in the guest in front of us. Our checkin went a little better, but when i finally reached my room, the lock was broken, so needed to go again downstairs. Crew didn't know what to do, so gave me a new room finally.

New, fresh, modern and fantastic value for money

LOCATION & ATTRACTIONS NEARBY *** Mercure Itajai Navegantes is very conveniently located near the Itajai port and also few steps away from the city centre and Itajai-Nevegantes ferry crossing. When I arrived the area looked quite built up, but then I noticed the following morning how close to everything I was. It was actually my base for (much more expensive) Balneário Camboriú and with a car it was absolutely perfect. HOTEL OVERVIEW *** Brand new Mercure located in quite a commercial area of the port. I could see that most guests were corporate guests, but this hotel also serves easily leisure clients and you should not be afraid of it. You can see that this hotel has just opened as everything is spotless clean, fresh and in great condition. I like the design of all public spaces as it was really nicely done. I can easily say that this was the best Mercure hotel I stayed in (not only in Brazil). Still there are teething problems (as with all new openings), but I would not worry about it. Valet parking (garage) is also provided for a fee (25 BRL/24h), however they can be very busy and you may need to wait few minutes. PURPOSE OF THIS TRIP *** Leisure RESERVATION *** Booked through accor.com website as they offered the best deals (very good specials were available for the day I stayed, up to 60% cheaper than similar room type in BC). Reservation was accessible through their mobile app and I also received an email reminder few days before my arrival. LENGTH OF MY STAY *** 2 nights – Nov ‘19 CHECK-IN *** I arrived quite late after busy day and being stuck in a heavy evening traffic, so I was happy to get my room and rest. Check-in was quick and Matheus helped to check me in in minutes. Got my key and I had to come back to them 3 min later… Unfortunately my original room (with a lovely view) had an air-condition leak and I had a small lake in the room. Luckily noticed before I unpack anything. I was quickly changed to different room on the same floor, this time with a partial river-view (the 1st one had full view). Matheus and Milena helped a lot and assisted without any delays. Thank you. LOBBY & RECEPTION *** Beautifully designed and spacious. This is quite large hotel and the lobby can be busy. There are plenty of lifts and they’re fast and operating as they should in a busy environment. There’re plenty of spaces to seat and meet other people. All corridors are also well designed, they’re not boring. Somebody took time and it’s paying off. ROOM *** #1909 – Suites Privelege with Double Bed and Itajai River (partial view). This was the 2nd room I was given, the same style, only the side view of the river. I did not mind and I am not complaining. Room was actually awesome and very high standard. I was expecting something much lower standard for the price I paid. My room was lovely designed, fresh, modern, quite spacious. Bed was very comfortable and I had a great night sleep. There was also a working desk with some office chair, an armchair and small table. Plenty of storage spaces and lightning was quite good. I loved the huge mirror and large flat-screen TV. There was a kettle and Nespresso machine, however you cannot plug them in where they’re located – I had to move them to the working desk and then I had to use my own converters as the device plugs were not really matching (or I didn’t figure out the trick) the electrical sockets on the wall. This of course caused the lamp to be switched off. Something to look into. Also, my Nespresso capsules were not replenished after 1st night (I love my coffee, so it was quite disappointing) and also there’re no spoons or anything to mix the hotel drink. Again, small detail, but quite annoying. The mini-bar was well equipped and prices very affordable – good idea to use it when it’s not overcharged. Safety deposit box was also easy to operate. Air-condition was acting up a little bit, but I still prefer to have a window opened (only partially due to high floor, but this was very useful). Over the bed there was some sentence, but in Portuguese, so I have no idea what that was. Obviously focused on domestic visitors. I had a side view of the river and the surrounding – it was OK. BATHROOM *** Spotless-clean, shiny and fresh! Loved the design and how this space was made. Simple, but elegant and looking “expensive”. Standard, good-quality Mercure toiletries and white, fluffy towels were provided. BREAKFAST *** It was fantastic. Buffet breakfast was great, with a wide choice of hot and cold meals, fresh fruit and juices, cheeses, cereals, ready meals and also you could have more to order. And of course, great selection of cakes and nice, strong coffee. They also had one elderly gentleman walking around and serving freshly baked Pão de queijo (cheese bread) – everybody was delighted with him and he brought so much smiles to all those serious official guests in their suits (I was the only one in casual holiday outfit, haha). Lovely, tasty, rich breakfast. Definitely not to be missed. SPORT & LEISURE *** There’s a closed swimming pool with huge class windows (which I’m pretty sure can be opened when needed) and the entire leisure complex looked great. Plenty of sun-lounges, sun chairs and spaces for sunbathing and relaxing. I could easily do it there if I had more time. The gym was also well equipped. INTERNET ACCESS *** Complimentary and easy to log-in. Connection was good and no need to re-log-in during my stay. CHECK-OUT EXPERIENCE *** Hm… Again, teething problem. I had my room pre-paid (for 2 ADL) and I also added parking space (2x 25 BRL) at the time of check-in, but when I paid and left reception, I was told at the parking that ‘it’s not paid’. Had to come back to reception and try to rectify this. All was correct from my end, but the parking charge was added as ‘others’, so nobody knew what was this about. Confusion which took additional 20 min to rectify. It’s OK, but if I was in a hurry, I would probably mind it. These things happen, and I am sure all will be working smooth next time. STAFF *** They’re fantastic. Matheus was absolutely great with the check-in and help during my stay. As I said, even the small problems with the billing did not change my opinion about staff there. All very professional, helpful and (which is not that common in BR) were able to assist me in English (unfortunately I do not speak Portuguese, I’m sorry). Restaurant staff were also really nice, happy and attentive. A big, big asset to have a team of people like that. I’m sure they will be loved by all other guests. OVERVIEW *** I think my stay was great. The price I paid was just silly (low) for what I received – a comfortable, upgraded room with a view and a fantastic breakfast. Hotel is beautifully designed and built and I expect them to be on top of the review scores in the area. Lovely, professional staff and genuine, honest experience of hospitality (it’s not that easy in a business-orientated hotel). Really well done. I would be happy to come back and stay a bit longer!
