Nice hotel but traffic noise

My wife and I felt it was a nice hotel with plenty of parking. The room was clean and had the facilities we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't like that the bathroom was a wet room, however it wasn't a big problem. The issue we had was the traffic noise as the hotel is closed to the M1. When we arrived in the room it was really hot. I found that the radiator was on full blast which I turned off. I then opened the window and was surprised by the traffic noise. At night the room was really hot as it had no air conditioning which meant we couldn't sleep, so I opened the window and couldn't sleep due to the traffic noise.

We stayed here for a quick overnight stop with our two toddlers. It was my oldest 4th birthday and we had a busy day the next day visiting family! as soon as we got there the receptionist made such a fuss of him and his little brother! They were so lovely & made him a card to open & the chef gave him and his brother a complimentary cake and ice cream! The room was spacious, quiet and clean! They really went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Property was well kept (a slight cleanliness issue in the bathroom but nothing more than an oversight) and was quiet and clean. But the staff on duty on reception on 19/04/24 definitely should have a special mention because the little things made my little boys so happy! Would definitely recommend.

It's one thing to not have the nicest welcome to the hotel- that I can get over. Having the latch not working on your door and a man trying to get in your room is another. The do not disturb sign I'd placed on the door nowhere to be seen. But then to call after your stay to discuss this incident and not even be apologised to until I reminded the person I spoke to, that is another thing entirely. I asked to speak to a manager and only then did she say she was the desk manager. She really didn't care. Spoke to me like she was passing on a message then told me to email someone else. I kid you not. I honestly prefer conversations rather than writing bad reviews, so the fact I'm here should tell you as a solo/vulnerable traveller a lot. Don't stay here.

gezien de prijs kun je spreken van een goede accomodatie. de locatie heeft als voordeel dat er voor het hotel een restaurant is waar je eventueel ook kunt eten.

2 nachten hier geslapen. het bed was goed en de kamer mooi schoon. De badkamer is enkele jaren geleden gerenoveerd, maar niet geheel zoals het hoort, daar er enkele tegels losliggen. Het ontbijt viel tegen, zeer beperkt kwa keus. Het avondeten was voldoende.keus, maar redelijk prijzig. Kortom de volgende keer zoek ik even verder
