Me and my partner stayed here to visit cannon hall farm. Such a gem of a hotel. We had a lovely welcome by the manager I think her name was Melanie and the rest of the team was lovely and friendly. We upgraded to breakfast on check in and we really enjoyed it, plenty of choice and everything tasted fresh. We will be back again next time we have a trip back up to the farm.

When I booked online I requested a ground floor room if possible, or alternatively a first floor. Heard nothing so phoned and was assured that although no ground floor, she had booked me into a first floor room. All booked in. Arrived to be told on 3rd floor. I asked to be moved to a first floor, was told there was nothing noted about this. I explained this wasn’t my fault, and instead of apologising for her colleague’s lack of efficiency (which is what I do in my job), she became quite short with me. After a lot of clicking around on screen and saying they were fully booked, eventually I was told she had ‘given me someone else’s room’ - I would say if they hadn’t checked in, it wasn’t yet their room. And I had requested the first floor room. I said thanks, but she was very unfriendly by this point. This did start our stay off on the wrong foot, but I can’t fault the room. It was clean, comfortable although there were no spoons or stirring sticks, in the room, that wasn’t a big deal, just odd. Could hear slight sound from the M1 but it didn’t interfere with sleep or anything. Incidentally, on returning after meeting our friends who live in the area for the evening, the hotel was displaying the rate for rooms that night. I’ll assume somebody must have cancelled as I was told the hotel was fully booked. Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again due to the attitude of the receptionist and the fact that unlike other budget hotels, any requests, even when confirmed as being put in place, are not acted on

Please be assured that this is not our normal standards, We pride ourselves on excellent customer service. The sign in the car park is just there to display the price and doesn't have the option to be able to change it to let people know that we have no vacancies. I can confirm that the night that you are referring to was indeed fully booked. I hope that this clears up any misunderstandings. I am sorry that you wasn't allocated a first floor room as requested like any other hotel we can only try to do our best to accommodate your request but it is not always a guarantee. I am glad though that in the end you were moved around and allocated a first floor room and found your room to be clean and comfortable. Kind regards, Claire

I have recently stayed in two Accor hotels. One in London, one in Barnsley. On each occasion my e-mail account has been compromised. This hasn't happened in other hotels in which I have stayed. This co-incidence of Accor hotels raises the suspicion that this might be the work of an Accor employee??

2 nachten hier geslapen. het bed was goed en de kamer mooi schoon. De badkamer is enkele jaren geleden gerenoveerd, maar niet geheel zoals het hoort, daar er enkele tegels losliggen. Het ontbijt viel tegen, zeer beperkt kwa keus. Het avondeten was voldoende.keus, maar redelijk prijzig. Kortom de volgende keer zoek ik even verder

Dragen de ecologische footprint hoog in het vaandel, maar handdoeken worden toch vervangen ook als ik ze niet op de grond had gelegd. Andere keer wordt enkel het kleine handdoekje vervangen en wordt er geen grote handdoek voorzien. Vloer in de kamer was niet geswifferd bij aankomst (stofwollen en stukjes papier op de vloer en deze waren er na de 3 dagen die ik verbleven heb nog steeds)

The service we provide should be, if the towels are on the floor we change them if they are hung in the bathroom we do not change them. I am sorry you also had some debris on the floor, this should not have occurred and I will discuss further with the team.
