Found the room to be clean & tidy. Nice king sized bed. Room had everything we needed. Only complaint was the lack of parking. Had to park on the road side and got very wet getting bags out of the car and bringing them in.

Overall the experience was great up until the service that was given at Breakfast on Sunday 21 June 2020. Due to this bad experience, this impacted the overall stay from extremely satisfied to extremely dissatisfied. When we entered the restaurant at 9am for breakfast the majority of the tables where reserved. When I and my partner went to sit at one of the reserved tables we were advised that the table was reserved for a booking at 10am for 41 people. We were then invited by the female waitress to sit in the area next door which had bar stand tables and chairs. As a paying customer, I was offended by this suggestion and refused. We should have been given a table like everyone within the restaurant. To reserve tables 1 hour prior to a booking is unacceptable. I frequently stay at the Novotel. This is the first time I have experienced bad service within your restaurant.

Staff were friendly. Hotel was quiet considering it was located on a busy street. Room were clean. Buffet breakfast was great. Just one small thing...we ordered a bowl of Fries via room service and they were a bit over cooked

A most enjoyable overnight stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice apart from the view from the window being obstructed (this is stated in the room description and is due to building consent requirements). We will definitely consider staying again.

Upgraded to a superior room. The bed was very comfortable, everything else was average. Couldn't hang a dress in the wardrobe, hangers can't be removed and the rail is half height ! Controls on chaise were completely broken. Dining experience was poor. Staff in restaurant were unattentive and service was lacking. Steak was excellent everything else was disappointing. Breakfast buffet was barely warm and failed to cater for a gluten free diet. Also no dairy free milk alternatives. Wouldn't recommend or return.

The room we stayed in was lovely. It was a last minute decision to stay the night in NP and the staff were really accommodating. We had a function to attend in NP however would have loved to have joined the Novetel bar for the evening with a jazz band playing and a great vibe.

It was a lovely getaway for my partner and I . Fabulous hotel, spacious and clean rooms. The staff are all lovely. The air con wasn’t working in our room so it was super hot and I think the restaurant is a little over priced .

I have stayed at the NP Novotel regularly and alway enjoy the experience! However on this occasion I stayed two nights with my wife and having returned back during the evening to find our room was not made up and cleaned! This was slightly embarrassing as we had guests come to our room and see this! The duty manager frantically rushed to refresh towels etc but it wasn't the same. Apparently there is a privacy switch that was mistakenly activated and the room service didn't want to disturb. I still find this unusual as someone may have a medical event and may not hear Room Service! I suggest the old method of Room Service cards on the door handle would rectify this issue. Maybe a free upgrade on my next trip??
