Very pleasant stay with helpful staff, spotless rooms and a calm atmosphere. Comfortable beds and great location. I’d happily stay here again!

The access to the hotel is limited and the bar and reception area is very small. The atmosphere is mainly couple based and lacks something. The rooms are large but rather tired, a little bit like the person who cleaned mine as all that was done was to throw the quilt over the mattress, no crockery cleaned or removed, and having searched for a while I found the TV controller under the quilt. The weather was very cold when I visited but I found the room quite cold . The bar service is quite shoddy and the prices are ridiculous... £10.00 for a 250 ml of wine which actually was never that. At most it was 185 ml and when I challenged Kasper behind the bar he said he gave me the most popular wine without giving me a choice; quite rude if I'm honest. I had breakfast included and the choice was varied but mainly continental. The toaster didn't toast, very little seating, the hot drinks were cold. The shower was fabulous, powerful and hot, however I had to move the kettle to the side of the bed because the way the fitted furniture had been installed, the plug couldn't fit. I don't like giving negative reviews but certain things put my back up, especially being completely ripped off in the bar. Never been a large glass of wine and to charge that was disgusting. I don't like being ripped off! Oh, I kept trapping my fingers in the access door because it was broken. Also, when sat in the reception/bar area, the visual disturbance from the big wheel outside could trigger someone with epilepsy to have an event. My reviews are usually very positive but this time I'm quite annoyed. Also, I know this seems very pretentious but if your not Polish then the TV is unfit for you... I know it's Poland but it's a tourist area ... There needs to be some adaptation.

During our discussion, he explained that you requested a dry wine, which is slightly more expensive than our house wine (which is semi-dry). He offered the least expensive option available within this category, while still ensuring very good quality. Nevertheless, if you felt misinformed or uncomfortable with this situation, please accept our sincere apologies. Your technical remarks have also been shared with our Technical Manager so that all reported issues can be addressed and resolved as quickly as possible. Christmas trip to Christmas market in bydgosz

"We booked two rooms for a family trip to Bydgoszcz to enjoy the Christmas market and celebrate my wife’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The hotel arranged beautiful flowers and a bottle of wine in our room, which made the occasion truly memorable. Every detail was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Mercure Sepia for creating such a wonderful stay!"

This is the sort of place where you'd just book it without question, next time you are there.

The hotel can be reached by tram (4 stops) or foot (16 minutes) from the railway station. It's a wee bit downhill but nothing serious. The location is superb. You are across the bridge from the old town square, and around the corner from the shopping district. The staff were lovely on check in and check out. I should have asked, as I like to keep a record of my stay, but I just received a receipt. The lift is small, but I did not encounter any jams. There might be another one, but I didn't need to ask. My room looked over the Opera. The soundproofing is very good, and I left the windows open anyway, so it can't be too bad on the 4th floor. The room was spotless. I slept like a log. Some of the towels felt brand new, which is always a pleasure. There is a terrace with glorious views on the 4th floor. Service is seasonal, but the views aren't.
