Need to open up the stair cases!!!

We stayed here whilst on tour. It was basic and clean and the location opposite the railway station was brilliant. BUT there are only two lifts and no way to take the stairs as an alternative. Very frustrating. They must have stairs but you can’t use them and they are not signposted. If you needed to get out fast I’m not sure you could!!!

Small room. Walking distance to Kyoto station.

Stayed for 3 nights (2 adults + 1 kid + 1 infant). Room came with cot initially but due to lack of space, cot had to be removed. Room is not very clean and dust can be seen at some parts of the room. Room is quite stuffy even though it is set at 17 deg. Window needs to be opened but noise can be heard. Amenities can be collected from the hotel lobby located at 3rd floor. Free drinks can be collected there too (300yen for non member). Location wise, the hotel is situated at ideal location, food and convenience shops can be easily found around the hotel. Nearby shopping malls are within 10 minutes walking distance. Try to take a room not facing the train station. You can literally hear the traffic light sound every now and then.

Comfortable bed and budget. Thanks to our wonderful stay in Kyoto. It was an overnight stay but totally good. Good food during breakfast is also serve. As diamond member thanks for extending the best you can for us members to be treated so well. Have a wonderful day ahead.

Even before arriving, I felt very welcome at this hotel as I was getting very friendly welcome emails. The team at check-in were very professional and did all they could to make my stay a real memorable one. The location is perfect as the train station is across the street which helps to get the dozen of sights you want to go to when in Kyoto. I stayed many days which meant breakfast became a bit boring but apart from that , I would rate this as a perfect stay. Great staff!

Booked 2 rooms for 4 adults. The location is very convenient. Kyoto station is across the street, 7 eleven and MK taxi stand at back. K Avanti Mall with Don Quixote and drugstores around in case of emergency OTC needs or personal supplies needs. The room is small which is typical of Japan hotels. Reception and cleaning staff all very nice and friendly. Room rate also very reasonable. We were out most of the day and only there for rest. If you prefer bigger rooms there are other places you can book and more often a case of you get what pay for and comes with price tag. We booked Ibis for the location, cost, and comfort of sleeping quietly at night (yes close to station but walls and windows are thick). Overall would recommend and will stay here again.
