A nice hotel, clean, close to the copacabana beach and to meeting poinTs if you take a guided tour. Our room was quiet and it was cometable in general. Not all the stuff speaks english ( like in other places in Brazil) but they are communicative and do their best to assist you. They have a locked safes room near the reception where you can have a safe for your use. Neighborhood seems to be safe according to Rio standart, which means, be aware and try not to be an easy target. We have walked around and did not feel any danger. Like in all Rio you will find homless people sleeping in the streets, again, we did not have a contact with them.

We had a wonderful stay at Ibis Copacabana Posto 5! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Dara, who went above and beyond to ensure my dietary needs were met. As I follow a gluten-free diet, I truly appreciated her efforts in making sure I had safe and delicious options. The warm welcome at the entrance also stood out and set the tone for a fantastic experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rio! Nossa estadia no Ibis Copacabana Posto 5 foi maravilhosa! A equipe foi extremamente amigável e prestativa, especialmente a Dara, que fez de tudo para garantir que minhas necessidades alimentares fossem atendidas. Como sigo uma dieta sem glúten, realmente apreciei o esforço dela em me oferecer opções seguras e deliciosas. Booked via Accor app for 344 Reais a night for 5 nights, breakfast included. Arrived in evening and check in was friendly and in English and some Spanish. Was provided a room on 4th floor with same set up as in Belo Horizonte (so i understood that Ibis is very standard word wide). Queen bed, wall mounted TV with only portugese channels (except CNN), small fridge, bathroom a tad bigger than in BH and a bit cleaner but old towels. View of buildings and cliff side (at least). Breakfast was rather similar to BH, with scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, cakes, varied root vegetables, OK. Beach was a few blocks away; beach towel can be obtained from front desk. Close to so many restaurants, markets and one block from Cantogalo metro station.

The ibis posto 5 Copacabana team “Trio Maravilha” with Felipe, Thiago and Juan were great and friendly, especially after 1.5h flight delay and arrival after midnight, they had all the check in papers and keys ready before we arrived based on a request I sent by email from the airport, great service. Hotel has restaurant and bar, good room size for the value, many bars around and walking distance from the beach, highly recommended!
