Disappointing Experience in Common Areas – Parklands Hotel Mudgee

I would like to share my experience during a recent visit to Parklands Hotel in Mudgee. My wife and I booked a room expecting to enjoy the facilities, especially the pool and sauna. However, we were very disappointed with what we found. The pool and sauna areas were visibly dirty, with dead insects scattered on the floor. Despite this, we ended up using the facilities, but not in the proper way, as the conditions did not allow for a comfortable and relaxing experience. For a hotel with Parklands’ reputation, we believe that maintenance and cleanliness of these areas should be a priority. This was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel, and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. I hope this feedback helps you review your cleaning procedures and ensure that other guests do not face the same situation. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.

Restaurant closed, service minimal, felt like a scene from Faulty Towers There was a function on with 300 plus people attending. This was the reason restaurant closed apparently. Guests were very noisy leaving, honking horns and doing burnouts Would not stay here again

Looked good - that was it. Not good value. On check in noticed restaurant closed for weekend due to function. After an all day wine tour had expected to be able to walk in for a meal - there was no function and with the location being out of town - changed all plans Breakfast was poor - go elsewhere, dont pay there. Note in room says to request room makeup - we did but returned and room was as we left it Very much below expectation and certainly not a resort - a dated motel that looks good only from the gate

Hotel room was lovely. Grounds were pretty and maintained. The rest of the place needs maintenance. Pool is not inviting, relaxed for a bit. Arrived Saturday afternoon to be told restaurant and bar not available due to private function. Went out later, returned by 830pm with no evidence of a function, whole building in darkness. Staff at reception not friendly or helpful. No spare toilet paper in room, didn't realise until during the night. 1 coffee sachet for a couple. Clearly housekeeping not being thorough. Would suggest staying elsewhere....

Beautiful surroundings but just dont eat the boiled bacon and tomato at breakfast. Room was spacey and clean but there is a lack of attention to detail around the grounds which lets the place down.
