False Advertisement . ALL of their facilities were closed. The spa, pool & gym were ALL under construction.

The pool, spa, & gym was closed for the month & they didn’t put a notice on their site. I saw a roach in my room. Room service took hours & I called multiple times. The drain in my tub was broken. The laundry staff tried to make side deals with me. The room was out dated. The Elevators kept breaking down and I had to go to my room with my suitcase through the employee elevator in the back of the hotel. The TV only has 3 channels & its NEWS channels. Comfortable bed though.

Had a very good steak here. Very friendly staff, a lot of them who spoke English. Food in the brasserie very good. The swimming pool of this hotel is amazing. It’s the biggest pool of Abidjan. Also, the building has historical significance for the people of Ivory Coast. My only point of feedback is that breakfast did not start at 6:30am. Moreover, staff starts preparing the breakfast service at 06:30am, with it opening somewhere between 06:35 and 06:40am. Keep this in mind if you’re on a hurry. Also, I found the staff at the swimming pool a bit jumpy (I was asked if I was a guest about four times) and pushy when it comes to ordering things. Makes an hour of pool side lounging before your flight goes, a bit of a nuisance. I stayed in the main building. My colleague stayed in the tower, which is next to the concert hall. A concert kept him up all night. So be aware of this! Compared to the Pullman (where I also stayed), I would pick the Sofitel over the Pullman in Abidjan anytime!

Excellent service by front desk staff when checking in/out. Especially Stephie & Mauthy. Good meals at Le Brasserie. Room service was excellent. Conference facilities were excellent. Front desk staff helped with taxis. I would recommend Sofitel Abidjan to other friends and colleagues.

This experience was terrible! We checked in for 2 nights. Loud music, cockroaches, personal concierge number not working, bathtub clogged! On the 1st night there was a loud open-air concert from 6 PM until 5 AM. The building was shaking and the sound was bouncing through the walls. The concierge did not seem to be aware of the end time, and we met more than 5 people who went downstairs to complain at the front desk, but nothing was done. Bathtub was clogged and the shower barely had water, we informed the staff but nothing was done until our departure.
