Mercure Portsea 4 Sterne

We hadn’t played here for over 10 years & it has changed a lot. The course is still good (slightly altered) and there’s a nice looking hotel. We didn’t stay at the hotel but enjoyed a nice lunch after our round. The clubhouse/ hotel has moved & now sits atop a hill giving excellent views of the Course & surrounding area.

We booked accommodation some months ago as we are attending a Wedding in Serento. I called today to confirm the reservation. Michelle on reception was wonderful she confirmed our booking the price and provided us with information to pre book transport to and from the Wedding venue. Thank you for such a wonderful friendly and helpful services. We are truely looking forward to our stay and hope to thank you again in person. I look forward to providing a more detailed review post our stay.

A gem of a hotel located in the Portsea golf club. Most rooms have picturesque vistas of the sprawling golf course and glimpses of the sea. Maps might make it seem isolated at the end of the peninsula but it was a convenient 15-30 minute drive to most restaurants and cafes. The hotel's breakfast options are no slouch despite the stiff competition from the award winning cafes surrounding them. Rebecca and her team are brilliant, they made sure we were aware of the check in times and took care of all the details. We will definitely return, especially once I can drive a golf ball in a straight line. Come with the expectation that this is a golf club first with an accompanying hotel and daytime dining facility and you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful room with comfortable bed and bathroom was spacious.The rooms overlook the golf course, no I don't play golf! Nice little balcony looks onto the course as well as some sea views could be seen afar. Great TV Channel with excellent movies to watch. Heating worked well. 🚿 shower was lovely with strong pressure with great temperature too. Breakfast was in my booking too, added extra bonus. Staff at reception on arrival was lovely and to see a staff member happy to attend to me. Thank you! 🌻 Staff in the bar area was lovely to answer any questions I had for her, so thank you. Enquired about where breakfast was in the morning. There's a nice bar upstairs from the rooms, all rooms are located on level 1 only one floor for rooms. The bar is big, spacious with lots of outdoor area to sit as well. Big TV to watch the footy match, 'Go Cats 🐱 Overall this hotel was lovely and quiet, just exactly what I needed this weekend. Off too the hot springs ♨ today,always a favorite of mine!

Have stayed before and will stay again. Loved the property!.....and the coffee....and the breakfast... The beds are really comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious. So close to Sorrento, Portsea, Blairgowrie....
