Although well placed for an overnight stop on a long journey the hotel has parking for only about half the rooms and there is limited secure parking nearby. Rooms are clearly NOT checked for issues - missing parts to shower tray, insects squashed on walls and carpets. Staff attitude poor - laughed at the problems no parking available caused us and DON’T lean on counter when talking to them or they will say you are being aggressive towards them.

We recently stayed at the ibis Styles in Speyer. The town itself is absolutely charming and definitely worth a visit, but the hotel left us a bit underwhelmed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which was a big plus, but the hotel itself felt very basic. The rooms were clean but lacked any character, and overall it was more of a functional place to sleep than somewhere you’d want to spend much time. If you’re after a simple base in a great location with nice staff, this will do the job. But don’t expect anything beyond the basics.

Good budget hotel . Staff friendly, check in was VERY fast . Room clean but a little worn . Very quiet at night . Drinks at hotel bar very reasonable! Ideal for Speyer centre and tecknik museum. Free sweets and hot drinks available in reception!

Staff went out of its way to make everyone comfortable in spite of the heat

Fans in the room and closed curtains helped keep the heat out, thanks to the mindful staff! No airco. Nice hotel, great location walking distance from town center. Good breakfast but coffee needs upgrade.

no restaurant in the hotel, only snacks available. But city center within walking distance (10 minutes). Room ok: clean, enough power outlets, good water flow in the shower. No aircon, one small radiator for heating, no separate heating unit in the bathroom. Unlike French Ibis Styles, no complimentary bottle of water in the room. Breakfast was ok. I did miss the fresh orange juice making machine and the chocolate bread though :-)
