Approx 12-15 mins walk from the train station. Or CHF14 by taxi. Minutes away from the Lion Monument and the lake. With good bus support and supermarket nearby. The rooms are nice with balcony. Breakfast is available and all day coffee and tea is available. The staff are professional and helpful. The hotel also provides a free bus and train pass which is very helpful. Excellent for exploring the town. Recommended

We stayed here for 4 nights during Lucerne Festival. We chose this hotel primarily based on its location, which is actually better than I expected. The main train station and the KKL concert hall are within walking distances, and a bus stop is also close by. The Korean lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She explained the public transportation and hotel features in every detail. Our room (Standard Room, 1 King bed) was small, as I expected. There was very little space for storage as in other 'IBIS'-brand hotels. The bathroom was basic. It was difficult to close the shower door completely. After a few days, we learned a trick or two that prevented water from being leaked out. The breakfast buffet was OK. With decent selection of hot and cold dishes. One could get free coffee or tea from the breakfast cafe all day, which was very good. One thing we did not like about the hotel, other than the small room size, was the cleanliness. Because of the lack of space, we put our carry-on luggage underneath the bed. When we pulled it out, it was covered in dust. That led us to inspect the cleanliness of other parts of the room. Well, they should have done a better job at vacuuming the room and the bathroom. Overall, it was a decent choice for the price. I might choose to pay more for a cleaner and/or larger room if I go back to Lucerne.

Expensive belonging had been damaged here

My brand new Paris perfume was destroyed. I just got it, arrived at this hotel, took a walk and came back with a wonderful smell of my perfume. The sprayer was broken so I didn't have my souvenir to take home with me. My perfume leaked and empty in a day. I didn't even have a chance to use it. The hotel didn't take any responsibilities.

Stayed here for 4 nights, great base for exploring. 10 min walk from main station but you get a local travel ticket included. Our room was large with doors out on to a terrace with a table and chairs and views of the mountains. Plenty of storage in the room along with a kettle and plenty of plugs. Breakfast has an excellent selection of cereals, breads, meats, cheese, fruit, hot selection, tea, coffee and juices. Couldn’t fault the hotel at all, can’t understand some of the negative reviews on here as our room was very clean as well and staff friendly. We were in room 604.

We chose this hotel because of the central location in Lucerne. Astrid was an extremely helpful at reception. The rooms were all different sizes even though the price was the same. We had a nice sized room with a great closet. Our friend's room was smaller with a rack for hanging and no shelves or draws. Air conditioning was not consistent. Breakfast was very good but not free. There is also a great cafe around the corner for breakfast.
