Location was good but the condition of the rooms and terrible smell brings all the experience to very unpleasant. I assume hotel knows that it stinks because you smell a deodorant or air refresher sprayed in the room.

Deze Ibis Styles is toe aan een verbouwing en een dosis gezelligheid

Het Ibis Styles hotel in Luzern heeft duidelijk betere tijden gezien. Het interieur is gedateerd en de indeling van mijn hotelkamer was onlogisch en onpraktisch. De receptioniste was gelukkig erg behulpzaam bij het inchecken. Ik vond het wel raar dat ik bij het afrekenen moest kiezen tussen een factuur in Zwitserse franks of euro’s. Ik koos voor euro’s maar de receptioniste wees me er daarna op dat ik dat de volgende keer beter niet kan doen omdat de wisselkoers ongunstig zou zijn. Ik waardeer haar eerlijkheid maar voel me ook een beetje afgelegd. De langwerprige hotelkamer was erg raar ingedeeld met het bed gedraaid en in de hoek aan de ene kant van de kamer en de kleine tv helemaal aan de andere kant naast het raam. De kamer had maar 1 lamp, waardoor het ‘s avonds een ongezellige en donkere indruk maakte. Het plafond was ook laag. Het plateautje boven de wasbak was versleten en de douche had een onnodig hoge instap. Het ontbijt was heel karig. Er was maar 1 soort broodjes: klein en zo hard dat ze bijna niet door te snijden waren. De ontbijtzaal oogde Spartaans met ongezellige witte verlichting. Dit is niet de ‘stijl’ die ik van Ibis Styles gewend ben.
