Do you want to go to the airport? No problem. In three min. by tram (two stops), you will be there at the place for the early departure. Best economic option for ZRH layover

As everyone knows Switzerland is one of world's most expensive countries, so expect to pay this budget hotel like a 3 or even 4 stars hotel at other European airports. Last year I've stayed in a same brand Lucerne hotel and paid it almost double cheaper, but this one close to ZRH airport seems being a popular one. And for good reasons: - it's only two tram stops from the airport so you're there in 5 min, - all other hotels being that close to airport have skyrocket prices, - hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Have in mind the room is really basic like in all Ibis budgets: no closet, no coffee maker. There's nothing close around. Restaurants and shops are some 15 min walk in nearby villages. We didn't have breakfast due to early flight. I saw it, seemed average, again with a higher price. To conclude - I wouldn't use this hotel for Zurich exploring (20 min tram ride), but I would use it for my next flight layover if needed.

Awful and rude reception

It was my first and last experience here cause i was out of the window of my room that is a smsll terrce and i smoked and the neigboor calked the reception and came to my room and charged me 320euros cause they said me thst the room wouldnt be booked for w days..but the staf smoke infront of the entrance.also they came to my roo m like i was a criminal.there was so rude and upolite. And making fun with me csuse i paid those money.i dont recomended to noone.

During your check-in you were informed about the non-smoking regulations in our hotel and you have signed the form attached. In addition in all our rooms and in most of the common areas you can find pictures informing you about this regulation. As we cannot sell the room 3 days after it has been smoked in the room, we have to request our smoking guests, when they disobey this rule, to pay for the additional cleaning costs. Our hotel is a non-smoking hotel and all of our guests expect to get a smoke free room. I am sorry for misunderstanding. Our staff never meant to be rude. Solid No-Frills Hotel for a long layover

Just stayed at the Ibis Zurich Airprot hotel during a 19hour layover in Zurich. Location is perfect, 3 mins way (2 stops) from the airport and the station is just in front of the hotel. It's 30 min tram ride to the old town/city centre. It's no frills and the rooms are pretty small. It feels more like a private hostel room with private bathroom than a typical business hotel. But for 1 night, it was more than enough and the price was right. Since Switzerland is so expensive, i opted for the breakfast included option. Toast/Croissants, coffee, juice, yogurt, ceral, fruits, hard boiled eggs. I would definitely stay again or recommend for layovers or early morning flights. i emailed the hotel 2 days before my stay to confirm everything and front desk responded within 30 mins.

Clean, Affordable, Accommodating and Helpful.

We originally planned to spend one night here then fly out but our circumstances changed and we ended spending three nights here. They accommodated our change in plans and were exceptionally helpful in providing information on transportation, attractions and restaurants in the area. Their breakfast is excellent and filling. The rooms are clean as are the hallways and elevators. The staff is quite friendly and almost always smiling. We were a little apprehensive booking a budget hotel but were pleasantly surprised. This is a great hotel to overnight at before/after your flight or to use as a base to explore Zurich.
