Firstly the staff their are brilliant .friendly. welcoming just perfect. We were there for 3 days in room 116 we have been a few times before in diffrent rooms and always enjoyed ourselves but stay away from room 116 it's a very small room for 2 people only 1 chair and its uncomfortable to sit only 1 bedside table (other is been used to hold tv on it which is too low to see from the bed and tv needed moved to the main bedroom writing desk which houses the kettle and tea coffee etc facilities also the window doesn't lock properly amd the window is warped letting in alot of cold air even with the heating on full the room was cold and the noise from the water burn can't be shut off due to the window not closing and sounds like uts in your room the floor boards are so creaky youbhear upstairs moving about and makes you aware of how much noise your making for the rooms below because floor boards are so loud secondary glazing is definetly needed to help get some sleep other better rooms like room 106 which we saw getting redecorated are far far better to stay in for comfort and sleep but again staff and location perfect just ashame room 116 not by along shot

We stayed at this hotel for New Year, Positives Reception staff polite and lady on new years day very helpful. Location good Room clean but out dated Negatives Lack of customers engagement in lounge bar Lack of staff at lounge bar, often sat at reception Poor breakfast, items constantly ran out, staff were not keeping an eye. Rooms outdated Sadly does need a lot of work for improvement .

Dreckiges Zimmer und unfreundliches, inkompetentes Personal.

Unser Zimmer war bereits als wir es bekommen haben dreckig und ich bin direkt an die Rezeption um mich zu beschweren. Daraufhin bekam ich lediglich die Antwort dass das Reinigungspersonal bereits aus dem Haus sei und Sie keine Möglichkeiten haben es zu ändern. Wir haben uns dann darauf geeinigt dass das Zimmer am nächsten Tag sauber gemacht wird solange wir weg sind. Ich habe meine Zimmernummer an der Rezeption angegeben und am nächsten Morgen nochmal nachgefragt ob Sie es auf dem Schirm haben. Die Dame am Empfang bestätigte mir dass Sie die Zimmernummer hat und Bescheid weiß dass es sauber gemacht werden soll. Als wir jedoch Abends wieder im Hotel ankamen fanden wir kein sauberes Zimmer vor. Es wurde nicht gesaugt, das Bett wurde nicht gemacht, das Bad nicht geputzt und der gleiche Dreck war noch da. Daraufhin bin ich direkt zur Rezeption und habe mich beschwert dass es in einem drei Sterne Hotel nicht sein kann dass nicht ordentlich geputzt wird zumal mir dreimal versichert wurde dass es sauber gemacht wird während wir unterwegs sind. Die Ausrede die ich bekam war dass wir ein Schild an unsere Tür hätten hängen sollen, dass wir wollen dass es sauber gemacht wird. Und das, obwohl Sie die Zimmernummer notiert hatten und eindeutig klar war, dass es gereinigt werden soll. Da wir auf einer Rundreise in Schottland sind und wir das Hotel nicht selber gebucht haben, sind wir dann die zweite Nacht im Hotel geblieben aber hätte ich es selbst gebucht, wäre ich direkt in ein anderes Hotel gezogen. Ich kann nur davon abraten in dieses Hotel zukommen und sein Geld hier auszugeben. Man hätte denken können, dass Sie das Zimmer nach mehrmaliger Rückmeldung sauber machen aber dass scheint offenbar sehr schwierig zu sein. Das Personal hat sich nur rausgeredet und war der Meinung dass es nicht Ihr Job sei danach zu schauen, dass die Zimmer sauber sind. Ich hoffe meine Rezension hilft einigen weiter und dass Ihnen dieser Albtraum erspart bleibt. Zudem hoffe ich, dass Explore Europe ein neues Hotel für seine Reisegäste findet.
