Excellent location. Staff were friendly and professional. Irene was exceptional especially with my elderly parents. Nothing was too much trouble for Irene. Will definitely return.

Average room in a hotel that used to be a bit better

I've been here before - a few years ago - and it was good. This time however I'd only say it was average. It seems the standards have dropped a bit - the maintenance standards were not great in the parts we saw - our room and some general areas. It was quiet as well - so you would expect they would be using the best rooms. To be fair - we didn't use the gym, restaurant, breakfast - and so maybe we would have had a better impression had we done so. The staff we're perfectly fine - for the few brief interactions we had. They really do need a clear sign (ideally lit up) at the actual exit from the main road - otherwise in the dark, its really not clear where you need to turn off. We went backwards a forwards a bit trying to find it.

Thank you for your recent review, some great detail to share with the team. I am sorry that you did not take the time to visit the gym and restaurant whilst at the hotel. We are unable to put additional signage on the main road unfortunately due to this are not belonging to the hotel.

On arrival, the receptionist didn't look or appear like a staff member wearing a short t-shirt to show her tattoos. The room was frizzing cold, and the tv socket was faulty. They fixed the issues on our insistence. The breakfast the next morning was shocking, not much to choose from, very old fried eggs, no mushrooms, no pastry, and the server was extremely rude. Terrible experience, very old, tired place and a very poor service.

I meant to meet a friend at the nearby Middlebrook Shopping Centre but couldn't park due volume of Xmas shoppers. I had driven past the Georgian House so I messaged by friend to meet at the hotel. We were warmly greeted by Irene who was on bar duties. We only required a hot drink but the friendly and efficient service from Irene was way beyond our degree of expectancy. The lounge area was clean and comfortable, it was a most pleasant experience. I will call in again when I'm next in the area.
