Avoid!! Overall a very tired hotel in need of a refurbished The spa area should be closed. Absolutely disgusting. With black mould on walls needing deep clean and repair. Staff rude. Only positive was the pizza was nice in the bar. Be warned.

2 night break enjoyed muchly and would defo come back , central for most things

Stayed as a family of 4 plus a dog on arrival room was lovely and clean and the travel cot ready for use. Family room was large and spacious We had breakfast that was great and the room was cleaned perfectly during our stay. Would recommend for family friendly hotel.

We go swimming at the hotel with a baby every week and I used to recommend the hotel to family when they visit the area. The lobby of the hotel is clean and the cafe always looks clean and well maintained. However since using the pool facilities I don’t recommend the hotel. The pool area itself is extremely tired, worn and in desperate need of maintenance. Tiles missing off of walls. Tiles missing off the floor. The metal rail steps which you use to access the pool have been snapped off so there is a top step and nothing else. Filthy glass and windows. The door to leave the pool area jammed and 3 separate groups of people couldn’t get out. There was no one on the desk to speak to. No one in the gym to speak to. Leaned over the counter to use their phone to ring for assistance. The first two numbers no one answered. Eventually we managed to un jam the door lock. The changing rooms are an absolute disgrace. Many of the lockers are missing doors, or locks or the base to the lockers. There is one changing table for the whole area, which is ridiculous with how many baby/ toddler swim lessons the hotel pool is rented out to. There is a travel cot to put a baby or toddler in which is covered in mould. My mother in law came with me last week and could not believe the state of the pool facilities and changing rooms. The facilities need shutting for a few months and a complete revamp. A lick of paint isn’t going to cover it. One of the local nurseries used to do weekly swimming lessons with their toddlers and the staff told us they aren’t going to be continuing with them anymore. It’s a shame as the hotel itself is lovely but the pool facilities do not match up to the expected standard.

Afternoon tea

Went with a group of friends for afternoon tea which was excellent plenty to eat, didn't manage to eat it all, our lovely waitress Irene boxed what was left for us to take home. she was very friendly kept us topped up with tea. Would definitely recommend it hope to come back soon.
