We stayed here after the races in August. I had stayed at this hotel a few years earlier for my friends wedding and had an ok experience however this time the room was tatty and very hot (we had two fans on all night), the carpets nearly threadbare, the bathroom had tiles missing, the food took ages and was average at best when it came. Staff seemed friendly enough, again breakfast also average, nothing to shout about here I’m afraid. For £170 a night it’s definitely not worth your money. Only convenient for the races.

Bathroom a bit dated. Corridors smelly, but bed comfy and room warm and cosy. Car parking easy to use when you check in at reception. Food..... VILE. Avoid at all costs (that's if they have your order at all). But there's a pub down the road that's amazing and a whole lot cheaper.

Almost Perfect, Just One Let Down

We have just had our Xmas party here and everything was great. Friendly staff, lovely food, lots of space. As a collective, our only negative comment is the music. During the meal we had the Xmas songs playing, but considering it was a Christmas party, the do opted to not play a single Christmas song except for the very last one, which really doesn’t match with the whole theme of the evening. It did create widespread disappointment. We sincerely hope that this will be revisited for next year in the all inclusive package as that would be the solo reason for us not to book again. Everything else was spot on, we can’t knock it. So clean and tidy too.

Stayed over for 1 night for my partners birthday. Nice hotel, staff were friendly. Made it special by decorating the room while we were out at dinner.... would definately return. Only thing I would say, room was abit cold. Beautifully kept hotel.

Hidden charges BEWARE!!

Hotel reception & room fine. Organisation around the restaurant is dire. We booked a table but on arrival there was no one around to accept us & it was obvious there was no table booked for us. They managed to give us a table, then waited 20 minutes before placing any order for drinks….had to shout one of the waiters over. It’s obvious the staff were not trained sufficiently & one could not speak or understand good English. The worst thing about this hotel is they have the audacity to add 10% service charge on all drinks ordered at the lounge bar. The only notice of this is a small sign on each side of the bar. And once it’s inputted into the till it can’t be amended if you’re paying by credit card and the till receipt is printed out. Outrageous!!
