For the price per night, you can find better. MUCH BETTER. I paid about 150quid for a room with black mould, a toilet door that wasn't hung properly and wouldn't close fully, marked bedsheets, and a panel in the toilet hanging off the wall. The TV had Chromecast but it was unplugged and just hanging against the wall. The cleaning staff must be short-staffed because there was half a tin of Vaseline in our room from a previous guest and cobwebs on the light fittings. Its only redeeming feature is how close you are to the city centre.

This hotel is like any other Ibis hotel, you know what you will get. Good location in the city near all major train stations. We arrived early at the hotel and could store our bags there while waiting for check-in time. We were not disturbed by outside noise even though there were train tracks near the hotel.

The pillows were just horrendous! So hard and only one per person. It would have been good to have extra pillows in the room as the one that there was gave absolutely no support at all. I notice that other reviews complained about the pillows going back for some months and the Manager has responded claiming that guest comfort was a priority and the comments would be shared with the team to explore improvements. Clearly this is just something that they say but have no intention of acting upon and nothing has been done. All it needs is a couple of extra pillows in the room as most hotels do. It may be budget but that’s no excuse to compromise on the quality. I had the worst, most uncomfortable night’s sleep I’ve ever had so please don’t “look forward to welcoming us back” because unfortunately we won’t be staying here again.

I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't enjoyed a good night sleep as you found our pillows uncomfortable. We do take on board guests feedback and, as it is mentioned in the Welcome Letter displayed in all our rooms, extra pillows can be requested at Reception as any time. If you had done so, the Team would have happily provided them so you could have had a much more pleasant experience. On a positive note, we are glad that our central location was convenient to you. Thanks again for letting us know your thoughts which are always invaluable to improve the quality of our services. It is sad to hear that you do not wish to return sole based on the fact that you chose not to raise your concerns regarding your pillows to Reception as, like I have explained above, it will have been easily and quickly solved. Stayed here for a gig. Twin room. Small but clean. A little tired but it was cheap. Noisy from the street but we knew that and it wasn’t a problem tbh as it was a great location for what we wanted. No lock on the toilet/shower. My son loves a cooked breakfast so we chose that too. Scrambled eggs, possibly powered, had no taste, sausage (and I like a cheap sausage) had no taste. All very bland. Had porridge oats in a jar, but no way of making it unless I missed something, as I love porridge. Croissants were good though! Staff were very friendly and helpful, all of them.
