Critter ridden nightmare!! It’s not the first time I’ve experienced this and will definitely NOT be booking this hotel again! Fortunately hotel was fully booked so didn’t stay and will not return!! Felt sorry for the young receptionist who was told by her manager to check the room out with me. She did offer to get housekeeping to hoover and change the sheets but knew this wouldn’t make any difference. They were even crawling up the curtains. Such a shame as the building is in a lovely settling. Booked the Bristol Filton Travel Lodge instead and couldn’t get away quick enough.

A fantastic experience at this hotel. Beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were spectacular, paying particular attention to Jack in the restaurant and Alfie in the Bar. Would visit again!

Lovely grounds and gardens. Close to main intersections. Friendly staff Reasonable prices Bright bar area and lovely gardens to sit out in. Overall good value hotel. Rooms comfy slightly dated but very clean and tidy. I would come back for sure.

Impressive arrival - long winding drive to a beautiful house set in idyllic grounds. Greeted at reception by friendly, informative staff. Plentiful breakfast, help yourself buffet and set in a room with a view. Our room was clean and well presented. However, in my opinion bed and pillows were a little hard . For others it may suit them. Things the hotel may wish to consider - very creaky floorboards and lighting in the bathroom poor, especially when trying to do my makeup. Not the fault of the hotel but in the early hours we were disturbed by shouting with expletives and doors slamming. A shame because otherwise it was a lovely stay.

The hotel is dated and in need of decor but that you can live with and totally understand the rooms were spotlessly clean, but what i cant understand is why you would have a chef that really doesn't cook, the photos of the food looked great but sadly the reality is all frozen foods with no imagination, the menu looked tacky so wasn't surprised when the food arrived, such a real shame as it could be so much better. Prices were high for what you recieved.
