The rooms here are very budget. If you are paying more than a budget rate be warned. Lino on floor and wooden tea spoons. Plastic modular shower and toilet room that must have been lifted in already assembled. Only one hand towel provided for two guests and no bath mat which was bad news given how tight space was. .It was not possible to use the loo in the night without the entire room lights going on so had to go to loo in dark, when I complained to Ibis about this I got nowhere and they said I should have got dressed and gone down 5 floors to reception but it was the way the room was wired so what could they have done in the middle of the night ? Not impressed as I am in the rewards scheme for this hotel group but treated like it was not important. Now using other hotel as do not believe this offers value unless you get the cheaper rate. And single use wooden spoons are not better for the planet than a metal tea spoon.

In a great location, staff were really helpful and the room was good enough for my needs. However the down side is the amount of outside noise I could hear from my room. It was as though I had a window open. Because of this I have rated it as average.

distance to train station fantastic tea and coffee in room handy but found some of staff rude and unfriendly . the location not near much for food or entertainment . This ibis has a rule you have to pay a damage deposit for damage or other stuff in other ibis hotels i have visited. I have never been asked for this .which I find unacceptable due to being a solo traveller and only staying one night if I was part of a large group or on a weekend of binge drinking I would have paid it as that to me is what a deposit is for beds uncomfortable lack or blackout blinds with bright lights from building opposite bathroom small with lack of space Wouldn't recommend

A very very pleasant stay here for two nights in November. The staff were very friendly and welcoming the entire time through check in and check out.  The location is pretty great if you're wanting to use the train like we did to visit Bath. The city center is a pretty easy walk away as well.  The rooms were extremely spacious I thought as well and the bed was really comfy.

I discovered a recording device and could clearly hear voices, laughter, and other conversations through it. This left me feeling extremely anxious and distressed, prompting me to immediately bring this to the attention of your management team. I shared video evidence of the situation with the manager on duty, and while I was moved to another room, I never received any explanation or follow-up about the presence of the device in my room. After repeatedly having to chase for an answer, I was eventually told that no explanation could be provided. This lack of clarity and communication compounded my anxiety. Throughout my stay, I felt unsafe, violated, and unable to rest properly, leading to significant emotional distress, including heightened anxiety and paranoia.
