Currently at this hotel. It’s rating needs an urgent review. Quite basic, stained hall and reception carpets has none of the extra touches you expect with a 4 star rating. Hotel is in need of complete refurbishment. Importantly NO WiFi. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

I was really dissolved in my stay here. They failed to clean my room even though I was out the whole day and told me that I put a do no disturb sign on the door which I didn’t. They also took such a long time to let us have more towels and told us that they had no extra pillows already. It was sad. The internet was also super slow not super fast and the tv was tiny. I was really disappointed

As you can see from the other reviews, we extremely take care of our Guests reviews and we will do everything we can do to improve our services and make the stay of our Guests always better. We are very sorry to discover only after your departure that you not enjoy your stay. Our reception Is always available for any request or problem. Concerning the cleaning, our Staff informed you that the Housekeeping does not enter into your room to clean it if you leave the keycard inside the room or put no disturb sign on the door. However, we are very sad and surprised to read your comment about the problem of the towels because; a clean towels and bed-linens were always available at the Reception. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. As always, the Mercure Solari was splendid. For me it is the best location, close to the office and the city as it is located close to tram and metro station. Always a warm welcome from Tatjana at the reception and my double espresso at breakfast served by Anastasia.

Due to the pandemic we had to postpone this trip a couple of times, but it was worth the wait. Milan is a beautiful city with some fine musea and great restaurants. The centre of Milan is not too far from the hotel. The Mercure Solari is a nice hotel to stay in. We had an apartment and it was super comfortable: more than enough space, 2 bedrooms, nice wooden floors. The apartments are in the building next to the hotel but the distance never bothered me. Breakfast was good. The lady who served us in the morning spoke Italian, English and French and was super friendly. Of all the brands in the Accor Group I find the Mercure the most difficult brand, there is sometimes a big difference between the Mercure hotels. For me Mercure Solari is highly ranked though, I would definitely come back. A big thank you to Miss Simona Brizzolara and the rest of the Mercure Solari team! Mille grazie.

Worst hotel experience in a very long time

The only positive thing first: the staff was very friendly and kind of seemed to know that this Mercure is way below standard. I have made the booking directly through my Accor app. Once I’ve arrived (at around 22:00 hrs), I was informed that the checkout time will be 10:00 - on a Sunday! This was not to be changed by my Accor silver status or anything, I wasn’t even proposed a chargeable option. The rooms are worn off and the floor looks like as if someone was playing ice hockey on it. Moreover, they seem not to have any form of acoustic insulation whatsoever. I was woken up at 07:00 by people walking around in the corridor - well, that solved my checkout problem at least. The translation of the breakfast menu seemed to have been done by a Kindergartener and the service time of the breakfast took around 40 minutes! (There was no buffet due to COVID restrictions.) During the 10 a.m. checkout, the second employee behind the front desk didn’t seemed to be bothered by the many people waiting. So, I just left the key and deposited my feedback here instead. Never again.
