We loved this hotel.So unique and historical.Our room had an external door to the shared balcony,lovely to enjoy early morning or after dinner drinks.The bathroom was huge and the room was quite large for european standard.Finding the hotel in Strasbourg can be difficult,when we were close we just rang the hotel for more specific directions. We paid and used their parking valet.

Beautiful heritage building in a lively city

Beautiful historic hotel located a short walk from the cathedral in Strasbourg. Inspite of the copious amount of tourists, myself included, Strasbourg was one of the best cities we visited on our holiday through Switzerland and France. Loved all the picturesque buildings and the mix between French and German feel in the architecture although this city is very much a French city. The hotel fits in perfectly with this city description. It is an old 16th century building which is why I chose to stay here and the proximity to the cathedral is excellent without being right in town. However, I also chose this hotel for a good night sleep and unfortunately did not get that. The bed was quite uncomfortable, there was a lantern right outside our window which was so bright I kept thinking it was daylight until it switched off in the morning and then it was darker (constant rain meant there was not much light outside). Thankfully had a sleeping mask from Emirates which helped the second night. The room is a nice size though and very well maintained. The bathroom I really liked as it had a seperate toilet and very good bath plus you could open the windows for fresh air. The small corridor at the entrance means you don't get corridor noise which is a big bonus. The downside is on the weekend there is noise outside in the narrow street below from some bars/clubs and we happened to be there on a weekend when they also had an early morning charity run event which the French enthusiastically support with drums and whistles, this went on for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning starting at 7.30am. The hotel has already responding to my google review and addressed this. We came to Strasbourg for the Luminescence Notre Dame cathedral event and it was truly spectacular with live choir, orchestra, brilliant organist and an extensive lightshow journey of the history of Strasbourg. Would love to return for a longer visit to Strasbourg. Would definitely choose a different room if available for a stay at McGallery again or would choose the Sofitel as an Accor member. The hotel was fully booked so room choice was limited. The bar is very good. We enjoyed baileys and hot chocolate after the concert and it was exceptional all the staff are really lovely. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as I did not use my Accor membership for this stay.

Impossible to Find, But Great Once You Get There

We arrived in Strasbourg on a Friday during rush hour...what a mess! People and construction everywhere. Plus, Google Maps does not know that the Rue Des Couples where the hotel is located is now pedestrian only, so it could not direct us. We stopped on a tiny street about a 1/4 mile from the hotel and, on the phone, the front desk directed me as I walked to find them. Then, very graciously, the manager walked me back to our car and drove with us to the nearest parking garage where she took our luggage and escorted us to the hotel. It was an ordeal after a full day of travel, but her service was extraordinary. Our suite, room 301, was very clean and spacious...I highly recommend it. It has lovely views of the half-timbered neighboring buildings. Perfect location to explore the historic district. And, the manager was able to snag a last minute dinner reservation for us on a very busy night. Kudos to Hotel Cour Du Corbeau!

We arrived after long flights very hot and exhausted. Thrilled to see this lovely hotel, we immediately noticed the hot uncomfortable temperature inside. The front desk explained that the weather had quickly become quite hot, and despite their precautions, the hotel air-conditioning was completely out. They had called, but they were unable to get a technician until Monday as it was the weekend. This was completely understandable, and they could not have been nicer about it, however, coming from a hot climate and plane, we were nervous about staying there with the predicted temperatures. When we explained our dilemma, the front desk totally understood, canceled our reservations, and even booked us at a nearby hotel whose air-conditioning was working. Completely unbelievable service and so very nice! Even more—To thank us for understanding their problem, they even gave us a voucher for 4 free drinks at their delightful courtyard! Wow! The hotel was simply beautiful and we look forward to going back again, but their service was absolutely amazing… Above any expectations! Cannot wait to come back here again and visit beautiful Strasburg… And look forward to going back to this hotel, and it’s wonderful people!

A faultless stay and a brilliant location

We did an overnight here whilst travelling to Austria from the UK, we piked it based on the reviews and we were not disappointed, the staff were extremely friendly, even putting a hand written note in the room for our son’s birthday, they gave advice on where to eat etc and were very very helpful with check in and language etc, we had drinks at the hotel but not food or breakfast so can’t comment on that, but our summary was we would definitely stay again when passing (and we do 2-3 times a year) the hotel has parking, but it’s not easy to find when self driving (a second time no problem) but a bit daunting first time as you basically end up driving down a pedestrian only road, but clear instructions, all in all a lovely hotel and in perfect central location.
