Stayed here 3 nights in November 2025. Good location. Room was clean, freshly painted and spacious for an Ibis. Breakfast was nice and staff was friendly. As I was leaving early the last morning I asked for a lunchbox 24hrs before, which was confirmed- but then when I had to leave nothing was prepared. Card reader in the elevator should be replaced, never worked properly. Overall a bit overpriced, like many things in Barcelona.

Very close to Sagrada Famillia and metro station. Breakfast is good and tasty. Very good local ham. Perfect location, close to everything We spend 3 days in Barcelona without taking local transport. Everywhere we were able to go on foot. A lot of pubs bars and restaurant near the hotel, Nice bar where you can order food or some drinks. Very friendly staff. We have amazing time there. Highly recommended.

Expensive and noisy. The walls shake everytime a door is closed in the hallway. Small, bare rooms. Not even a coffee or tea. Decent breakfast. Overall poor value

All available services are displayed during the reservation process so guests can easily see what is included. Regarding the noise, our doors are equipped with secure self-closing systems for safety reasons, which makes them heavier. Unfortunately, some guests do not accompany the door with their hand when closing, which can cause vibrations in the hallway. As for our rates, they may vary according to our excellent location and high demand periods, but we always strive to offer the best value possible. I am a very experienced traveler and a native New Yorker. I’m not naturally afraid or paranoid and have done lots of solo traveling (I’m a woman). But I was staying alone and was put in a ground floor room behind the front desk with a window on street level. It felt very unsafe. The window had an alarm on it bc it was on the ground floor so no one could open it. So of course the room smelled bad bc it was always closed up. Also I couldn’t get any fresh air and it was really stuffy. When I engaged the deadbolt on the door, you could still open the door with the key, which also made me feel unsafe. I will say that the bathroom was very clean, had hot water and good water pressure. They have large format body gel and shampoo instead of those tiny plastic containers, so that’s good. But they don’t give you any washcloths which seems pretty basic..

We completely understand that the ground floor might not have been to your liking, but we wanted to clear up a few things; the ground floor rooms are not on street level, they're directed to an indoor private patio inaccessible to anyone except the staff, as this patio is behind doors closed with key. The lock you saw in your room is not an alarm because of danger, but merely a lock that is present in all room windows for security reasons. Still, the windows can be opened an inch to freshen up the room and, if desired, you can ask at reception for a form where, under your own responsibility, you can open the window completely by opening the lock. Regarding the deadbolt of the door; usually when deadbolted, rooms cannot be opened even with the key. This could be a malfunction of the door handle. I've already issued this to the maintenance team and measures will be taken. We'd like to remind you that, at anytime, you can come to reception so things can get sorted out during your stay instead of leaving unsatisfied. We also appreciate deeply the positive comments regarding the cleanliness of the bathroom. Missing some of the basics

Would normally not stay at an Ibis, but this was part of a tour package. As suspected, it is very much a hotel with just the basics. The room itself was modern and clean and overall quite comfortable, but the lack of a fridge and safe is a real deal breaker under normal circumstances. Not to mention the air conditioning which was simply not strong enough for the Barcelona heat and humidity. On a positive note, the breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was also very convenient for the Sagrada Familia which is only a small block away. However, it’s not a great option if you want a full suite of what most people would consider the “basics”.
