Stayed 6 days in the hotel. Good up to date rooms. Good job cleaning the room. Cleaner was efficient in cleaning the room and very polite each morning. The biggest annoyance is overall service. The service standard is subpar by global pullman standards especially in check in and out. The breakfast and club/lounge personnel providing service for breakfast or platinum/diamond member evening cocktail are best described as emotionless robots who seem unhappy with work. Maybe it's a hotel management issue. They were not rude but i expected more from the brand. I can understand the cultural difference but the standard is far too low to the point of disgraceful.

During check-in, the recepion staff was cold and not friendly. She acted like a robot to process the check-in procedures, without mentioning any member's benefit nor breakfast place and time. As the club is closed, I was directed to the lobby bar to enjoy the afternoon tea. However, I sat for five minutes at the table and the three waiters at the bar just talked among themselves without coming to serve. I needed to go to the bar direct and asked what I can have. During check-out, there were two receptionists standing at the reception. However, one of them was busy in talking over the phone while another was just looking at the computer. I was standing like five minutes in front of them but was not served. With such kind of customer service, it is pity to hold a Pullman brand in this bad hotel. Training to the staff should be given sooner but not later. By the way, the offerings in breakfast were also in bad quality.

Perfect choice: 5 mins walk to huge mall and subway station, hotel staff services is excellent, room is clean and spacious.

I made the right decision to choose Pullman Shanghai South for this trip. I did a lot of research online and on Google. The ultimate experience is beyond my expectations. The location is perfect, the hotel is elegant (5 stars), the room is clean and spacious (I am OCD and attend to details on cleanliness, and this one, I have nothing to complain about), and the hotel staff is nice and helpful. Thank you for giving me such a great stay.
