We arrived on the back of a stay in the Maldives and were a little reluctant to stay in the heart of Downtown however a great deal on Luxury Escapes was hard to turn down. The location was perfect for those wanting to be close to Dubai Mall as it was only a 10-15 minute walk away The reception checkin was straightforward and helped as we had a charming receptionist (Specios) check us in who managed to organise our two rooms next to each other The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable however there were two downsides are - The rooms has a light stench of cigarette smell which was unwelcome as - Shower floor is dangerously slippy Breakfast in the morning was very busy however the quality of service and the choices on offer could not be faulted - we really enjoyed the Indian station Our Room was looked after by Mukhtar (on the 10th Floor) who did a great job and was pleasant at all times All in all if I was on a short stay and wanted to be central, I’d happily stay here again

I had an excellent stay at Sofitel Downtown during my business trip. The room was exceptionally spacious and thoughtfully designed, making it ideal for both work and relaxation. The large glass work desk with proper lighting made it very comfortable to handle business tasks, while the overall layout of the room felt calm and well-organized. The room itself was wide and relaxing, offering a great balance between productivity and comfort. The bathroom was another highlight — very spacious, with a large shower and a comfortable bathtub, perfect for unwinding after a long workday. Overall, it was a well-equipped, quiet, and professional environment that perfectly suited a business stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again for future work trips.

Every year since 2021 I have stayed at this hotel, and every single year it exceeds my expectations. I always return to this property because of the exceptional customer service, the luxurious room and the incredible location. I spent 10 nights here this December, and I had such a wonderful experience - probably my favourite time since the first time I stayed here. There are no words to describe how kind, compassionate and caring the staff are. They go above and beyond for you, and really do treat you like family. Sofitel Downtown has become a home away from home for me. I would like to extend my thanks to Si Thu (duty manager) for being so empathetic and taking swift action to resolve a small issue. He is a great leader. All of the concierge staff are so friendly and welcoming - Mostafa and Steven did a lot for me during my stay, with Steven helping me retrieve a lost item at a different property which I was so grateful for. The front desk staff, both daytime and night time were so lovely too. Faheem at the pool bar consistently provides friendly and warm service. I cannot recommend this property enough. All of the staff working here are an asset to the Accor brand. Thank you so much for making my stay so enjoyable!!!! PS the breakfast here is AMAZING and the chefs are so lovely - if an item wasn't available, they would make it fresh for me. From Ms Akhtar!

The hotel is in a perfect location and the staff is so kind and professional and helpful, we requested for a late check out and they provided us instantly, the housekeeping staff sunil and indra was so professional and kind and kept asking if we need any additional help in the room also everyday they make something thoughtful to the room . Highly recommend staying at the hotel
