All as expected for a Novotel and I’m pretty happy with my stay. Two issues popped up: 1) the outer glass of the triple window was broken. No effect on my stay, but a real eyesore when looking out of the window. A big distraction rather than an inconvenience. This room should not be used until the window is fixed. To be fair, the GM personally apologized and offered me a different room later. I was impressed by that. 2) as an airport hotel, I expected there would be a shuttle. No airport pick up. And no shuttle busses after 6pm to and from the mall next door. A taxi/Uber costs A$25-30 to get to the hotel in the evening. Minor annoyance, but not what I expected for an airport hotel. I used the mall airport shuttle in the morning as it was a feee service. Otherwise, the hotel was fine. The staff were great, room was clean. I wouldn’t think anyone would be allocated a room with a broken window so that wouldn’t be an issue. Would recommend for those who love outlet shopping! Just arrive at the airport before 6pm to catch the shuttle to the mall next door.
