Compact but Efficient. Great Nice Pleasant Location.

The Apartment is located at a great pleasant location. Around the corner and down the road, great access to lovely independent restaurants, cafes and shops. And if you like more upmarket labels, it is just down the road from the equivalent of Rodeo Drive. Although the apartment is compact (if not small), it is setup efficiently, complete with (a working) TV, stereo, proper working desk, etc. The kitchenette is set up very well with a coordinated set of plates, bowls, cutlery etc for 4, good size refrigerator, dish-washer, etc. So much so, it was very a very comfortable 8 night stay. There is laundromat on the ground level, 2 washing machines and 2 dryers via €1 coins (€6 for washing machine & €3 for dryer). The slotting machine can be a little unpredictable; either not triggering the collection or accepting the coin(s). The dryer (older) on the far right when you walk does NOT dry very well (even after 2 cycles). Hopefully, they would be all sorted soon (for your stay). The staff are great and polite, especially Yannick and Lorretta. Always pleasure seeing them at the desk. As the property is tuck away between (very nice) private apartments, the drive way is not very obvious. Best entry way would be along Lietzenburger Street after passing Emsert Street (adjacent road). For those who are visiting Berlin for the first time, do note supermarkets, shops etc are all closed on Sundays and (some) public holidays (I think this is the same across Germany. It is the same in Munich). Hence, plan ahead, specially if you arrive late on Saturday night or on Sunday.

Warm days in Summer Berlin

The comfortable and cozy Adagio is starting to show signs of wear. The practical space-saving furniture mechanisms had worn out, they were permanently in the open position, and the practical flexibility of room spaces had thus been lost. The lack of air conditioning in the apartment made staying in the apartment uncomfortably warm on hot summer days, even hindering sleep. The staff was friendly and the location of the apartment hotel was excellent, in the middle of good transport links. The security practices of the apartment hotel were at a good level. The apartments lacked instructions on how to avoid false fire alarms. Once we had to leave the apartment due to a false fire alarm caused by other hotel guests.

Great city living experience

I loved the way it was designed with compact city living in mind. A fold up bed and extending table were nice touches as was being able to screen off the kitchen at night. The cooking facilities and fridges were big. Bed is comfy it's a nice distance to the station and very well connected by buses. Its a great safe neighbourhood and there are 2 big supermarkets in walking distance as well as some reasonably priced restaurants and a fabulous gin bar. The only thing that let it down was messy people leaving bags of rubbish near the lifts instead of using the rubbish bins correctly and the weekend staff didn't tell us where bins were but we explored and figured it as well as using the hoover which we also weren't told about. On the whole a solid nice place to stay.
