I stayed five nights in a nice spacious room on 21st floor (I had booked an Executive King room with lounge access). Very good bed, good air conditioning controls which allow to fine-tune the temperature. Room was very quiet, hardly ever did I hear any other guests. Bathroom has a shaving mirror and shower plus a tub. Breakfast was very good, I enjoyed the Chinese food varieties (e.g. noodle soup) but they also offer Western fare, very nice. Happy Hour in the exec lounge (6-8pm) was good, although it would help if they offered a greater variety of beer and wine. Only one type of beer and one red and white wine (which I did not like) was available. Food was ok though. They have a 24hr gym which I used every day. The hotel's location is excellent, with only 5min walk to the Dapuxiao Metro station of line 9. There are lots of small stores plus a shopping mall in the vicinity, and the Tianzifang tourist area is only a 10min walk away.

Staying here currently. Upgraded room at check-in was the only platinum recognition I received. No welcome amenity or note from manager. Also, at breakfast no offer of a barista made coffee despite the machines being there - but never maned. Relegated to disgusting machine coffee. Staff English is almost non existent so you just stop asking for anything despite having a request such as poor housekeeping, their care factor is equally as good. Internet situation is terrible. Restricted and drops out, even with a VPN. How do you get any work done here with rules like that? AC does not work in rooms. They had to send me up a heater. Rooms are in excellent condition(or at least my suite was) Bigalow amenities in bathroom but the rooms are old and in need of s spruce up without a doubt. Some lamp shades have seen better days and all sit crooked on the lamps. Despite asking for a lates pillow and mattress topper - this was not honoured so be warned beds are on the hard side and pillows aren't the best. Foyer is a sad empty cavernous spaces. Nowhere near enough lounge or sitting area despite its size (which it shares with offices in upper part of the building. Also be ready to make sure your given full attention by staff if you're at the desk; other people will barge in and ask a question and the staff WILL STOP servicing you and attend to the intruder! Would not stay here again. Stay in a 5 star hotel on the Bund.

Great stay at the pullman in shanghai during F1 weekend. Mike and the team were really welcoming and helpful throughout the weekend. Great location centrally located in Shanghai near attractions etc. Rooms were spacious and clean. Will definitely stay again!

When I read description at Accor, it was all about Pullman 5-star experience, superb views from 53l4-storey building, great services, etc. The deeper was my surprise, when I dealt with below average experience here, from the very beginning when email was dropped to me on my way to the hotel saying that I need to specify ly arrival more precisely (I did this before/ because they are crowded. When I arrived, there were not that many people, yet, dedicated ALL Accor member counter (and I'm Diamond, BTW) was empty and I took the general line. I was not greeted as a member, reception was cold and formal, the only thing thing they did is threw two welcome drink cards to me and stated about happy hours at Executive lounge. This lounge was crowded and was located on 24th floor (vs 50th floor in the hotel desc), and offered rather basic service. Room was good, but it was freezing cold and we turned on the heater. However, the heater was switched off completely on the next day (despite the fact that night temp was below 5 C), and we finally caught cold there. Breakfast is a complete disaster. The place is again freezing cold, you need to wear coat or sweater there. Food tastes generally awful (apart from drinks and pastry), and it looks like it was prepared long time ago - sushi and rolls have smelly rice and are really rough, porridge and eggs have dense film all over the surface. I'm not new to Chinese food, and this was not cultural, it was simply bad. When I asked about the bar, staff told me there is no bar in the building (which was a lie - steakhouse restaurant on 51st floor offers variety of drinks and cocktails, and also has wonderful steaks, but it obviously doesn't belong to Pullman at all). Finally, when checking out (Sat morning, not crowded at all) it took me 10 minutes to reach out the reception by phone to pick up the luggage. Again, ALL Accor counter was empty, check-out was very formal, no one even asked about my stay. I will definitely not recommend this hotel to stay in Shanghai and will choose other options for my next trip.
