If you want to pay money for a hotel that has big groups of teenagers on school trips that scream, bang on walls and doors, run up and down corridors until the early hours having no consideration for others than yes go ahead and book this hotel. If you value sleep then id book elsewhere and avoid this at all costs.

It was OK if you are just wanting a place to lay your head down but we were shocked how weird the rooms were, the toilet was in a small cupboard, the shower and sink were in the bedroom, no separate bathroom like you get in other budget hotels, however it was clean but only two pillows on the bed and none stored anywhere else in the room, the bed was okish but very cheaply done, check in was OK but not very informative, would we stay here again? No.

Stayed here for 3 nights. It’s very well located for the main train station, Krakow Glowny. Once you exit the station via the underpass the ibis and the Ibis Budget ( which are joined together) are 50 yards right ahead of you. You can walk into old town in 12 minutes and the local huge mall in 5. Room is typical Ibis Budget, same layout wherever I’ve been and perfectly functional with very comfortable beds. Wish they’d put the light switches a bit higher as they stick into my head when I’m trying to read in bed but a minor point really. Staff were polite and helpful and printed me out a timetable for my train travel to the airport on asking. There’s no hairdryer in the room but they’ll loan you a good one at reception. Checking in and out is easy and fast, particularly check out. Room and bathroom clean and well kept with very nice cleaning ladies who were very helpful when I couldn’t open my room door. The only gripe I have was the breakfast. Very poor choice, very poor quality with no hot food at all. Couple of breads, couple of cheeses, lots of pickles. Now if you were paying budget prices this wouldn’t trouble me at all, I’d say it’s worth about £3.50 for the convenience mainly. But no, you are expected to part with 45 Polish zlotys for it. That’s £9. In a city where you can get a fabulous evening meal for under £15, it’s absolutely extortionate. So stay at Ibis budget but whatever you do don’t buy the breakfast. Walk to the mall and get something much better!

The hotel has a lovely location... Station adjacent, old town square 15 minutes walk, adjacent mall with very many food options and garment stores, nearby supermarket open by 6AM, all you seek for. We were instantly given tea maker and cups when asked for, super fast check in, all good. Bad side is its room size. No place to keep suitcases, keep tea maker, move around.. just get into the room and jump on the bed. The window is large with clear view. And the toilet! Worst design. Bathing area seperate, commode seperate like a ghetto, and basin within the bed area... The design is a disaster for long stays. But good for a night stay or so.. All in all a hassle free stay in a badly designed room. Highlight: just walk to the station. Walking out of the hotel, step down to the underground pass and walk 200 meters and you are in the platform! Great. Save on taxi fares
