We stayed at the Novotel Toronto Vaughan during another trip to SickKids, choosing it as a more affordable option outside the city—and we were so glad we did! The hotel felt fresh and modern, and everything was spotless. The carpeted floors were so clean that we had no hesitation letting our 9-month-old crawl around (which says a lot for any Grammy!). The room was comfortable, quiet, and well-kept—exactly what we needed after a long day. One of the best perks? The location! It’s close to several restaurants, including our personal favorite, Jack Astor’s, which made dinner easy and enjoyable without needing to drive far. All in all, a great stay—clean, convenient, and family-friendly. We’d definitely return!

For many years we were using a hotel down the road after years of neglect we decided to try Novotel, I think we found our new Vaughan hotel. The room was nice, very clean, the hotel always had someone cleaning on our floor, vacuuming, mopping etc. The hotel looked new. The room had lots of extras that really weren't needed like lights everywhere but I get the vibe they are trying to go for. The location could not be any better for shopping at Vaughan Mills. There are many restaurants at the mall and a few blocks away. We did eat at the hotel one night. The food was expensive and nothing special but it was an easy meal. The fettuccini sauce though was pretty bad. The pool area was clean, water not too cold however it is in the basement so it felt like a basement. There was a wedding going on while we were there and the hotel was still quiet, lots of parking outdoors. Bed was hard on my back I did require a pain pill both nights. We requested 2 extra blankets as there were none in the room. The basic bathroom toiletries were available. There was small store onsite with basic snacks / drinks and some toiletries. ATM was also there. Over all we have a great stay and will stay again.

Don't feel it is a friendly place to stay.

The in-house buffet breakfast is disappointing. Some front desk receptionists don’t make you feel welcome—totally indifferent and poker-faced at best. Better training is clearly needed. That said, service quality in the GTA tends to be low overall, with staff often acting like they're doing you a favor just by helping.

I felt embarrassed by the server (Sayim) at Novotel in Vaughan. I was having an open buffet breakfast with my two daughters when the server suddenly approached our table, asked for our room number, and then walked away. A couple of minutes later, he returned, took my plate without asking if I was finished or not, and immediately gave me the bill. The restaurant is not busy and quite empty of customers. But what is that? Is that how customers are supposed to be treated here? I just paid the bill and went back to our room even though I want to eat more because I didn’t want to argue and ruin my morning since I was with my two daughters. But hello? I paid full price on the open breakfast buffet.

Your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us, and I regret that we did not meet your expectations. I would like to better understand what happened so we can address this properly.
