Hotel itself is great, nice room with a view to the golf course and the ocean, 2 big swimming pools. You can see that Hotel is not new but was really nicely done. Hotel brought a piece of cake for my birthday. Breakfast was quite nice. Perfect place for a romantic escape and golf players - our type of travel. Service is the worse part: 1. Reception: we arrived and a person who checked us in made the whole procedure so long, it took around 10-15 mins. Told us first that breakfast is not included in the rate, though it was and I had to ask him to double check the information. It all looked very unprofessional for a 5 star hotel. In the morning we go to the gym and they informed us that they can open the gym early hours if we need that. We asked to open the gym at 7 am, receptionist was not event at the reception desk, security didn't know how to open they gym and started asking each other and it took extra time to wait so they could understand what to do and then we had to go in the dark with the light of our phones.. which is also not a 5 star experience 2. Guest service: it is impossible to reach anyone by the phone, no one is picking up. I had to call room service so they could transfer me to the reception as I couldn't reach anyone. If you ask to bring anything to your room it takes forever. 3. Housekeeping: We stayed 3 nights and each time they cleaned our room, something was missing, either not enough towels, or now shower gel or no toilet paper or something left dirty. 4. Staff by the pool: one of the day they were setting up dining table behind our sunbeds, 2 persons from hotel staff started screaming at each other right behind my back, I turned and looked at them, they saw me looking at them and kept screaming at each other and throwing table cloth in a very rude manner, so I had to raise my voice and ask they to stop, totally no understanding of how they should behave in front of the guests. In general I would say that hotel looked understaffed in housekeeping as I saw them running around corridors and other staff is not well trained to provide 5 star service.

The property itself is good though it needs some maintenance when it comes to hygiene especially the corridors and part of the rooms they smell quiet humid. The value for money is poor we consider it expensive for the options you get,you have to pay for every single thing including small bottle of water by the pool and access to indoor pool. However the staff there are nice and helpful,they do what they can to make customers happy,and let me talk about the guy in the lounge,his name is ANOUAR,he is soooo helpful respectful welcoming and genuine,he knows essaouira like the palm of his hand he gave us plenty of information and the way he talks and welcomes customers is sooo special and he doesn’t h expect anything in return but customers happy. If we ll return he will be one of the main reasons. We recommend this hotel for a short stay but get you wallet ready 😏
