“Good Stay, but Check‑In Delays and Room Issues Were Frustrating and Stressful Start"”

We are here for two weeks, and overall the services have been very good—especially at the restaurant during breakfast. Helene Rio was absolutely brilliant, always attentive and ready to help whenever we needed something. Sagar who takes care of our room was also very good. However, our arrival experience was quite disappointing. We arrived "early" on Sunday morning, and although the company had booked our room starting Saturday, it didn’t seem to be ready. The receptionist told us to go have breakfast while he prepared the papers. We were exhausted from our trip and hadn’t slept at all, so eating was the last thing we wanted. We simply needed to rest. When we returned to reception, the staff member was no longer there, and the paperwork still wasn’t done. When we finally received our room, we immediately noticed a strong smell. I am sensitive to odors, and even my husband, who usually isn’t—found it unpleasant. They had given us a smoking room. My husband went down to request a room change, and we had to wait again. The smell was giving us a headache, so he went down the second time as we were waiting already for so long. He is usually very calm, but this time he complained that the room should have been ready when we arrived, yet the receptionist gave a V‑E‑R‑Y unreasonable explanation— miss, we weren’t born yesterday. In the end, we only got our proper room close to noon, already tired and with a headache. And again, the room had been booked since Saturday.

I was in Ibis/novotel rabdan Abu Dhabi from Jan 26 to Feb. 09, 2026 and I want to thank Ms. Helen Rio for being so accommodating and friendly while I was taking breakfast. Great service!! keep it up.

Highly recommended for the stay in Abu Dhabi. Well managed hotel. You would love to interact with the Chef’s, Manager’s or team members. All of them are very hospitable and guest friendly. Food is superb though I had a short stay, would love to be back on my next visit. Kudos to Abhishek for making our stay unforgettable and creating lasting memories. Appreciate all your efforts.
