My husband and I stayed here for one night. We booked it for the same night because there were few other choices in Verdun. The room was basic and fine. There was not a normal room key, only a numeric digital code. Parking was free. We asked for an extra pillow and blanket but only the pillow was available. There are several restaurants nearby, including an Asian wok place that was very good. I am giving the hotel 3 stars because we only paid a total of $85 and it was value for the price.

I'm awaiting refund for my room, air conditioning wasn't working, staff are very rude and do not care

I'm pregnant, Room 127 the air conditioning was not working, it was 32 degrees outside and the room was boiling as at the front of hotel. I set it on 15 degrees on cool and after 3 hours it was still nearly 26 degrees! I complained to reception to move rooms, but was told the hotel was full and there was no spare rooms. The lady on reception was rude and said she could not check the air conditioning in my room (which I had paid for in booking and needed it) She told me to message Celine the director which I did, the message I got back from her was next time you stay at Verdun budget you will receive a commercial gesture? Well, I'm not planning on coming back, i would like some compensation back for this room ASAP.. I have asked for this but my message on booking.com has been ignored. I had to sleep in my friends room as air conditioning was working in theirs. Absolutely disgusting way to treat customers. I am still awaiting a refund!!!!!!

Horrible experience at Ibis Budget, Verdun

We got robbed at Ibis Budget in Verdun :( We arrived at Ibis Budget after 10pm on July 12, after having tried another hotel of the same hotel chain in the area. We booked and paid Ibis Budget from our phones at arrival, still in the hotel parking lot. And then - when we inserted our reservation code into the machine in front of the hotel, the machine told us that our code was not valid. There was no one at the hotel. There was no way to get in, although we had paid the hotel and gotten our reservation code in the internet just then and there. When trying to call and at the end email the person responsible for the hotel, the worst is that we received a practically insulting email back implying that we were just trying to lie to them to get our money back for no reason, that they considered us a "no-show" to the hotel. They denied that there had been any problem with their IT systems, although their machine had given us an error message saying our booked and paid reservation code was not valid. We are in shock for the horrible experience. We paid but were not able to enter to the hotel. And to boot, we received an insulting response from the person responsible for the hotel. We are escalating the issue and still trying to get our money back at Accor Hotels, to which Ibis Budget belongs.

The lights turned on themselves and flickered all night long and the leg of the bed was broken. The room didn’t allow any privacy. At 8am, there was no breakfast, no more food to eat, no more milk/orange juice to drink. And the toilets made a huge sound when the door closed itself.

Great budget hotel but thin walls

This is a great budget hotel in Verdun. Easy access, lots of parking and a great price. The room was very spacious. Please be aware it’s budget so it’s basic but you get all you need to survive for a night in a comfortable environment. Staff were lovely and the hotel was clean. My only gripe is that the walls are very thin and you could hear pretty much everything in the next room, including the bathroom activities 😳 This could have been avoided as the hotel was pretty empty. We really didn’t need to be back to back rooms, we could have been spaced out. Overall though exactly what I expected at a great price!
