it was the first time that I visited Morocco exactly Casablanca with my family we stayed at Sofitel it was really nice the room was clean and the breakfast really delicious without forgetting the reception staff they were very helpful and always at our service without forgetting the maids and specially Halima she does a great job and always our room is clean and in order, thank you Sofitel and thank you Halima

Upon arrival, I discovered a sewer pipe problem in my room, which I reported to Mounia the next morning after spending a sleepless night. Although Mounia sent a technician to fix it, the problem recurred that afternoon, disrupting my attempt to catch up on sleep. I reported the issue again to another staff member, who promised to send someone to address it. In the meantime, I decided to visit the spa to relax. However, your spa was extremely disappointing. There were no slippers, shower gels, shampoos, or towels available. When I inquired, I was told that guests steal towels, so they are no longer provided. Additionally, the right handle by the pool was unstable and rusted, causing me to slip and injure myself. Unfortunately, the sewer pipe problem resurfaced around midnight. When I called the receptionist, they confirmed the issue but did not know how to resolve it. Due to this, my checkout process remains incomplete, and my card details are still with reception. 2 days later they charged full amount! I have traveled extensively and stayed in many Sofitel hotels, but this experience has left me extremely disappointed and disillusioned with the brand. I had high expectations for my stay, but it turned out to be a deeply unsatisfactory experience.

Simply put, do not stay here right now. This hotel is falling apart and put together by temporary fixes. Maybe it’ll be nice when it’s done but when you see deals for this hotel in the next few months, call and ask about construction. Loud noises at 5 am, pool/spa is a mess (broken railing). Staff is completely checked out. They know people are duped into staying here and are unhappy so they just behave in an aloof manner and gaslight the guests. We stayed in 3 different rooms, none was acceptable or anywhere near 5 starts. We were booked by a local travel agency who probably got a great deal and pocketed a huge margin. This is my second second non positive experience with Sofitel (see Mexico City review) and I will be making an effort to avoid the brand after these two experiences. (PS: if you are African or non-Arab non white person, you will be treated differently here, not in a good way.)

Stayed for couple of days mid May and from the start to the end ,it was horrible. First I called the day before to book airport pick up which was supposed to be done but surprise when I landed no one was there … because apparently my booking was not there in their system while I had the confirmation number 😅. While trying to understand the situation,the front desk lady ,who has nothing to do in hospitality business get upset because I questioned her about the mistake . So she kept talking in her Arabic dialect without never suspecting that I speak Arabic 😅… so the more she was rude thinking I don’t understand the more I was questioning. Anyway she ended up pretending upgrading me to a suite which I was entitled to due to my status at Accor. I have to admit that they are good people doing their best to get the hotel standing up (breakfast with Camara and the crew is good hence the 2 stars) but the majority of the staff especially those fronting customers are unprofessional and not fit for hospitality job.This hotel is supposedly a 5 stars but neither the infrastructure nor the people deserve it. Room was not properly cleaned and gym was so old as you can see in the pictures. When leaving I asked why such a low level of service,the response I got was that the best people have left for others hotels… This was my first time and I am not ready to come back and make sure my company removes this hotel from the preferences. Hyatt Regency is much more in line with 5* standards so I recommend it.

Our last stop on our Gate 1 tour was the most modern. This is a very nice hotel with all of the modern comforts. We only spent one night here. There is French influence and attitude at the Sofitel. There was absolutely nothing wrong here, but it was a departure from the more intimate places we stayed on the tour. Our farewell dinner was world class and definitely French inspired. The breakfast buffet was also top notch. The service was very good as well.
