Poor service and late cancellation by the hotel.

Sadly I never got to experience the hotel, as despite having made my booking over 2 months in advance for an event I was attending, they cancelled my booking 10 days before I was due to stay, effectively leaving me high and dry and scrambling to find somewhere else. When I phoned to query this cancellation I was told by a very nice polite receptionist, that there were 'technical issues' which meant that the hotel had inadvertently overbooked. As I had made my booking very early I was surprised that I was being cancelled, so I was assured that a manager would phone me back to discuss the issue. No one ever did of course. I suspect the hotel discovered they could sell my room for more money. I've stayed in a lot of Ibis hotels over the years, but not sure I will again if I can't trust them to honour a booking.

Easy to find free parking outside the front door. Receptionist was pleasant and I was on my way up 2 floors in no time. The room was great with a big shower, big tv, tea maker and a desk with power Good view out the window too Bed was excellent in comparison to the Travelodge bed I had the previous evening

Really miseranle when we checked in, but what a great happy smile and welcome. We were soon checked in along with our car. Given a nice ‘red’ double room on the second floor. Room - the usual tea / coffee kettle. It was warm, clean and comfy, nice fresh smell in the room including the bathroom - mirror sparkling along with the chrome. We went down had a meal each - a plateful of good quality food, nothing to complain about. Our ‘check in guy’ came over to see if we were happy with our meals and later cleared up. Patrick, he was brilliant from the moment we steeped into the foyer. Not only with us, he was the same for other guests there. Other staff on duty were the same, it was a pleasure to stop with them! A massive thanks to Patrick & the other staff last night - 15/02/24. Looking forward to staying with you again. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️👍🏻

The hotel from the outside look nice apart from being in the middle of an industrial estate.We book a 2 night break but left after the 1st night on entering the hotel we were greeted with people sitting in there pajamas in the bar sitting drinking it very much had the feel that the hotel was being used for the council to house people and groups of young lads .Not a place go for a weekend break.

It's unusual for our guests to feel out of place as we aim to provide a welcoming environment for all. I've investigated to whom was sitting in their pyjamas and it was our Swansea university student group. I can only apologise on behalf of these guests. I find it a complete disgrace when guests cannot get dressed in public, however when working with Joe public, it's something we just have to deal with. While we do have a vibrant mix of guests and a lively atmosphere, we ensure that our hotel maintains professional standards at all times. We're proud to be a convenient option for various travellers with our free parking and Wi-Fi, and we're just a hop away from the beach and university. We hope to see you again. Goed. Ik heb een keer "s avonds gegeten om dat ik laat was aangekomen, maar het eten was matig en zou ik afraden. Heel leuk en vriendelijk personeel vooral Becky aan het ontbijt.

Hey Jens, Bedankt voor je review. We zijn blij om te horen dat onze locatie en parkeervoorzieningen goed bij je reisplannen pasten. Ook zijn we ontzettend trots op ons personeel, dus het is fantastisch om te horen dat Becky met haar energie en vriendelijkheid een positieve indruk heeft achtergelaten - zelfs in de vroege uurtjes! 😊 We vinden het jammer dat het diner niet aan je verwachtingen voldeed en hopen dat je bij een volgend bezoek een betere ervaring zult hebben met ons vernieuwde menu. De onduidelijkheid rondom de factuur is iets wat we zeker serieus nemen, en we doen ons best om dit proces te vereenvoudigen, vooral wanneer meerdere boekingen zijn gemaakt. Wat betreft de Wi-Fi, we zijn continu bezig met het verbeteren van onze diensten en zullen het signaal in de kamers aan het einde van de gang nog eens extra onder de loep nemen.
