Stayed in this hotel for two nights. From the check in process to taking care of our needs, our experience was excellent and way different from Novotel hotels in Rotorua and Queenstown. Contacted Bradley, General Manager, Novotel Christchurch based on unacceptable customer service in other two Novotel hotels, and responded immediately assuring enjoyable experience at Cathedral Square location and introduced us to Josh, Guest Services Manager. Josh ensured we enjoy our stay and took special care to allot the room in superior floor. He made arrangement to endure the package sent by Four Point Sheraton was in our room. I had another request and contacted Front Office manager of this hotel. He ensured my request was taken care. Josh and Fabio followed with an update that my request was taken care.

We really found nothing wrong with this hotel. It's centrally located to downtown and great places to eat The hotel breakfast was buffet and fully stocked with a lot of good food. The room is very nice. We looked out at the hills in the distance and the damaged church from the earthquake. Room had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate with a pot to heat up water. Would I stay here again if I had the chance. You bet

Receptionist Bella was very unfriendly & indifferent probably because of racialism. We arrived at the hotel 🏨 at 12 noon & she told us the Check-in time was 2 pm. Fair enough. We came back at 2 pm & she told us the room was being cleaned. It was only when she went out for some work, Bomi allotted us room no 1009 (23/01/2025). The room was good but the bathroom had slippery tiles. Other staff was friendly and cooperative. Breakfast was great. Bomi was amazing and a great human being. But Bella's demeanor left a bad taste.

Great location- average stay.

This hotel was very convenient to walking around Christchurch. Staff was pleasant. Linens and towels were very clean. Rooms were spacious but carpets were filthy. Breakfast was very ordinary. Hot food items were not hot. Pancakes were stone cold and coffee options were very limited.

Fantastic stay. Lovely room. Great breakfast. Great service. Parking availability is limited so good idea to book that at same time book stay, if you require parking. I am an Accor plus platinum member, and appreciate the benefits this helped me get at this hotel including free breakfast and room upgrade.
