Compact, clean, great location. Everything you need. Great view of the Port Hills if you score and 8th floor room. Good breakfast selection. Comfy bed, big tv, relatively small bathroom but fine. Limited amenities provided ie: only all in one hand/body wash/shampoo. Good desk. Enough hangers. Beside the old Cathedral Square and across from the main restaurant and shopping area. Convenient mini mart next door.

Had a pleasant one night stay at Hotel Ibis Christchurch. Travelled with family members and the staff were very helpful with the check-in and check-out process. Close proximity to parks, shops, bars, and restaurants. Rooms were comfortable with basic amenities offered. Quiet and no street noise was great.

Booked a trip with my mum for her birthday and the stay was great! Arrived early just expecting to drop our luggage off but the staff allowed us to check in early and also provided a complimentary food and beverage voucher for my mums birthday. I booked the hotel for the central location but had been told by a friend the rooms were on the smaller size. I found the rooms to be well sized with plenty of space for my mother and i. We went to the bar that night for hot drinks and nibbles and were welcomed by the staff right away. The food was really nice and we would have stayed for dinner if we didn't already have plans to go elsewhere. Next time I'm in Christchurch, this hotel will be my first choice.

The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. There were great facilities to work as well as relax. A very comfy bed and quiet location for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel is in a great location with a mini mart next door. It has a great restaurant too.

Small. Cramped. Airless. Noisy. Complicated tv. Poorly appointed decor akin to a new supermax. Dodgy iron. View onto a wall. No shampoo or conditioner etc. nice reception staff. Location ok. I don’t like staying here but it’s where work puts me.
