First time staying in this chain, Was very central and easy to get to with carpark literally next door to it, Staff were friendly and check in was smooth , Room was spot on like a premier inn but knocked one star off as it was a bit weird having the toilet in a separate room from the bath and shower ? Was like i was in a hostel or something lol definitely first time I’ve experienced that ! Fridge in the room was warm and didnt keep anything cold but they were the only 2 negatives otherwise it was all good and the room was clean and staff were nice, didnt try the breakfast as it was £18 per person and thought it was a tad expensive, Pool etc we didn’t use so can’t comment on that, Would definitely stay again but not in that room

A hotel with wasted potential

I stayed at this hotel for one night in the week for a work event. Check-in was simple, however, it wasn’t a great look for the hotel to have several complaining customers at the front desk (apparently they were provided with the wrong check-in time and their rooms still hadn’t been cleaned by the time check-in had opened). The superior room itself was very spacious and had everything you needed. A robe, sandals, complimentary cans of water, toiletries and toothbrush were all provided at no extra cost. The room had a huge TV, fridge, safe, coffee machine, sofa, desk, office chair and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was ultra modern and had both a bath and two showers. An added bonus was the free RITUALS body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. The toilet was in a separate room and was very dark and claustrophobic. I also don’t think it was the most hygienic layout, as you had to touch multiple door handles after using the toilet, to then get to the bathroom to wash your hands. I also found lots of signs of uncleanliness around the room - clumps of dust on the sofa, mould in the shower and marks on the walls. The walls between rooms were very thin and I was surprised that it was so rowdy in the hotel at 4:30PM on a Wednesday?! I was also very disappointed when opening the curtains that my room had the tiniest window ever, despite curtains covering the entire wall! I also had breakfast included with my stay. The variety of breakfast items was fantastic and the breakfast period was extended, allowing me to eat at my own pace. The evening meal, on the other hand, not inviting at all. The stench of fish coming from the kitchen was too much to handle, so I ended up having to eat elsewhere. This hotel has great potential but seems to let standards slip when it comes down to customer service and upkeep of the rooms. I think they’d attract more customers if they provided more information about what amenities are provided in the hotel and the surrounding central area (as the website is very limited).

I stayed at this hotel with my sister and 13 year old this weekend. We had a room with a double bed and a double sofa bed, the bed was really comfy, the room was spotless, even had a mini fridge, which we didnt expect. The TV in the room was huge, not that we used it, but usually hotel TVs are tiny. There was good amount of storage, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. The pool/gym/sauna was another huge advantage, you do need to book a time slot, but it was great. We didn't eat at the hotel, we had a few drinks and all the staff were very hepful, both at the bar and reception. They also have a baggage room to hold your luggage after the 12 noon check out (which was also great, most hotels are 11am) The hotel itself is less than a 1 min walk from Liverpool One bus station, we got the bus from the airport to the station £2 per person. Although we got off at Hanover Street bus stop ( as thats the name of the street the hotel is in), but its far handier to get off at Liverpool one as its closer. All the shops/bars/ food places are on your doorstep, there's also a Tesco a few doors up from the hotel. I 100% recommend this hotel, I cannot wait to go back.

Perfect location for shopping and Anfield stadium

£89 for a family room, 3 of us not bad huh. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to an executive suite...nice thank you However 1 queen bed (which wd had booked anyway) and a sofa bed for my son No third bed made up No towels for the 3rd person No cup or glass for 3rd person Went to reception and was told maid will be on way.. no maid So I approached reception as we were quite keen to explore but didn't want to get back late to find No bed for my son. Receptionist this time wanted to charge me for the 3rd person!!!! Had to prove through booking.com that I had paid for 3 people Headed out and returned with exactly what I had actually ordered, also did hear reception tell all guests their rooms had been upgraded..not sure really if this was truth. Rooms though very very clean and bathroom immaculate Bit noisy on a Friday night as on a main street but this isn't a fault to the hotel Didn't eat here bit had a coffee and a game of pool £1.50 so ok no cash is taken here either which I guess is normal now 11 floors so big hotel lift working fine Breakfast was £16 BUT we didn't indulge Swimming pool was so cold But as a hotel I would return if I came back to Liverpool If your heading to Anfield receptionist will call a cab it cost us £12 however head to the bus station 4 min walk and it's £2 each and actually a nice route.

Worst Hotel Manager - Gilles

Made a complaint about my booking at the hotel! Was told by Gilles, the manager that I shouldn’t have made a booking I cannot afford and should walk out of their premises! Asking me to find a more affordable location for my family and I Hotel is dirty! With unpleasant staff. Manager is rude! Not worth your money. Booking.com also advised they process a refund and he refused! He said the money was too important to Novotel and cannot release my money! Looks to me the manager is pressured from their head office to get as much money as possible.
