Too expensive for the no frill hotel and a charge for the carpark

Location was the only benefit. They even charge to park on site!! Receptionist was so rude and unfriendly, certainly not a good advert for Liverpool. Bathroom door didn’t fully close and being a wet room, we got wee feet whilst using the mirror. One electric socket.

The staff was friendly enough so no complaints there... Twice I went out of the room and twice we had to have another key card, as it wouldn't register, the room was basic but was decent enough to put your head down for the night... never in a million years did I expect to get up at 2.30am till 3.15am listening to arguments outside my bedroom... a woman screaming and shouting!! And then what I presumed to be the partner screaming and shouting back!! It woke my daughter up and scared her whitles. This happened again ar 7.30am the following morning. We made a complaint as we left... the receptionist turned around and asked why we never made a complaint there and then!! There wasn't a phone in the room to phone the reception! Apparently it's all on CCTV?? where was the 24hr receptionist that couldn't see this going on to begin with??? Never again will we stay here. Looking back on other reviews now... this is NOT the first time it has happened and certainly won't be the last!! IF you want a decent night sleep I suggest to stay well clear from here!!!

Good hotel located near the main attractions of the City.

The hotel is ideally situated opposite the Albert Docks and within easy walking distance to the City centre. The room was clean and comfortable. We were on a room only basis and chose to pay for the breakfast- which was good and plentiful. The staff worked tirelessly to keep the tables clean and available and the food was replenished at all times. Checking in was easy and efficient even though there appeared to be a number of coach tours leaving around the same time.

The guest rooms need some work

The rooms in this hotel need a lot of work. While the location for this hotel is its saving grace they need to put some money into the rooms. We were on the first floor and our room overlooked part of the Albert Dock. I say part as we mostly saw a brick wall that was the overhead of the lobby entrance. The colors on the walls were drab and there was NO artwork on any of the walls. You felt like you were in a prison cell. The televisions were tiny and it was very hard to get around these rooms. The bathroom - while the showers are very big the rest of the bathroom is not. You feel like you are in one of those tiny bathrooms on a cruise ship. No Do Not disturb signs anywhere - we had Housekeeping knock on our door several times to see if we had checked out yet. They only give you one towel as well - you have to go down to the front desk to ask for more. Its good we spent most of our time outside of our room but the rooms definitely need some work. Lots of cracks and holes in the walls. Your lobby is very nice now put some work into the sleeping rooms. I wouldn't stay here again unless they updated that. I preferred the Premier Inn across the street at Albert Dock from our previous visit. Bigger cozier rooms.

Rooms are basic, bathroom could have been cleaner and the drains let a damp smell into the room. Unfortunately there is building work being done next to the hotel and the noise that “Storm Ashley” created was heightened do to an unsecured tarpaulin. The breakfast was ok but a bit overpriced if you only want a small amount.
