We went there for family dinner on xmas eve. The live band is too loud!!!! Food is execellent but mood ruined bcs of the loud music

I went for Christmas buffet on 24/12/2025. The food was ok. Just that the live band played songs that is too loud and it spoiled my family gathering time. We cant talk like in a normal gathering setting. That restaurant is not designed for a live band to perform. Please consider this feedback. Payed RM4K for my family gathering but cant share stories and talk normally

Our recent stay at Pullman hotel Kuching was shockingly disappointing. Apart from the location, nothing else about Pullman Kuching is deserving of a 5 star, not even a 3 star. The experience fell significantly short of the standards expected of the Pullman brand. This is after looking past the hotel being under renovations, with no facilities available to the guests. We stayed in an executive suite with executive lounge access as a family of four for 2 nights. My concerns are outlined below: Executive Lounge Breakfast Experience On our first morning, we opted to have breakfast at the Executive Lounge. Despite being the only guests present, the breakfast we ordered never arrived even after waiting close to an hour. During this time, we repeatedly checked with the lounge staff, who assured us it was being prepared. Ultimately, we chose not to wait for the breakfast as the wait was intolerable for the whole family, with two hungry kids aged 7 and 2 going on strike. This was both disappointing and unacceptable for an executive-level offering. Executive Lounge Condition The Executive Lounge on the 22nd floor was extremely basic and clearly dated, with aged furnishings and interiors that do not reflect executive lounge standards at an international hotel. The overall ambience and upkeep were far below expectations. Suite Room Condition While the suite was spacious, the condition of the room is atrocious, severely dated and showed visible signs of poor maintenance. There were signs of ceiling mould that appeared to have been poorly painted over, which raises concerns about hygiene and upkeep. Likewise, signs of mould were also present around the door frames. The wall skirtings also showed signs of poor maintenance and disintegration. In-Room Facilities and Amenities - There were insufficient power sockets, making it difficult to charge multiple devices for a family of four. - Television reception was extremely poor, with limited and substandard channel options. - Water pressure in the shower areas was weak, impacting basic comfort. - The hair dryer was old and ineffective, barely functioning and unsuitable for use. Breakfast and Evening Cocktail Quality and Selection The main buffet breakfast offering at Culina was also disappointing. The selection was limited, uninspiring, and lacked the quality and variety expected from a hotel of this category. Evening cocktails selection of fruits, food, snacks and drinks were also severely lacking in quality and standards. The wine selections were particularly bad! Direct feedback was given to the duty manager and GM. Service recovery was made in the form of partial refund. Room change request was also made in view of the atrocious state of the room and mold problem. Free upgrade to premier suites was given. This experience has certainly rocked my confidence in the Pullman brand. As much as some of quality difference should be expected for different countries, the service discrepancy is jarring and severely damaging to the brand.
