I recently stayed at Pullman Kuching and overall had a pleasant experience with a few areas for improvement. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was warmly greeted and ushered to the reception for check-in. The front office staff welcomed me with a smile and handled the process efficiently and smoothly. I truly appreciate the complimentary room upgrade to a suite, even though I did not receive the waterfront-facing room I had requested. Nevertheless, I was satisfied with the upgrade and the gesture. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The in-room amenities were complete, which made the stay convenient and enjoyable. However, the parking rate was a downside. I paid approximately RM8–10 per night for hotel parking. It would be great if the hotel could consider offering complimentary parking for in-house guests, especially for a five-star property. Breakfast offered a good variety of options, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I experienced an issue where one of the kueh I took contained a piece of plastic. I reported it to a waiter, but he simply smiled and walked away without addressing the matter properly. This was disappointing, as I would not expect such a mistake—particularly related to food hygiene—from a five-star hotel. Overall, the stay was comfortable thanks to the friendly front office staff and clean room. With improvements in service response and food quality control, the experience could be even better.
