Awful hotel stay away, unless you want to pay all this money to stay in a hostel! There’s people smoking weed, doing all sorts, escorts going from one hotel room to another. We’ve been woken up but men shouting arguing, DONT RECOMMEND stay away

£15 breakfast absolute joke. Cereal & pastries only options. If we were told that at time of booking we wouldn’t have bothered. And the key card to get into our room took at least 20 attempts before it actually worked. We won’t be coming back here

Stayed here with my daughter before a cruise, whilst I understand it is an Ibis Budget, I would still expect a certain level of cleanliness and general maintenance. Our room was on the ground floor, there was a dent in the bathroom door so the wood had broken through, my daughter spilled some water on the floor so I put a towel down, on picking the towel up it was absolutely filthy with dirt from the floor, the view from the window was scaffolding so very minimal light came in, the doors were being slammed most of the night. I had booked the nights stay and 8 days parking as a stay and cruise package, on checking in I was asked how many nights parking I needed and that it would be £10 per night, I explained that I had purchased the parking package, the lady on reception informed me that it doesn’t show on the system if someone has purchased that so thats why they ask. I understand it’s a small issue, but it shouldn’t be something I should have to worry about on checking in. My daughter and I had a very poor quality sleep that night and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Booked parking in advance as when booking it suggested pre-booking parking to save driving around looking for a space. Guess what? I had to drive around and look for a space. I also can't understand why I should have to pay to stay in the hotel car park. This hotel is overpriced for a tiny room, with a bed that was not particularly comfortable. Shower and sink in the same room a toilet door that wouldn't shut without making a loud bang. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room was the biggest disappointment. Also, it was too hot. The heating system just wouldn't turn down below 22.5 degrees. The noise at night from the smokers sitting at the tables outside the main reception. I was surprised that the duty manager didn't say anything as it was midnight. Overall poor value for money. There are budget competitors with more facilities and much nicer rooms.

I really enjoyed my overnight stay at the Ibis Budget hotel that my daddy have booked here before our MSC Virtuosa cruise on the next day in May 2024 and there is a 5 min walk to McDonalds and the Boots store in the west quay retail park . The room was OK and I slept overnight with my Mum and Dad although the mattress was a little hard to sleep. the shower that I had after my long evening walk and my evening dinner in McDonalds looks similar to the one where I had my swim session in the shallow end of the pool where I had a shower located right next to the female changing room cubicles/lockers and near the main big pool at Metrodome leisure centre Barnsley back in January 2019 which is 5 years ago. the room is clean and tidy. the room key has to have the arrow pointing up to open the door which seemed counterintuitive. Pedro the Ibis budget staff member did an awesome job booking the room located on the ground floor next to the unisex toilet where I stayed in this room on the ground floor overnight ready for my MSC cruise on the next day. the breakfast was very limited at 8.45 in the morning with warm food and lack of mugs and plates and it is an excellent breakfast experience and I been in this hotel in May 2024 where I stayed for overnight and hopefully I will come back to this hotel in July 2025 next year and hopefully in the future.
