I had booked for Friday 30th January for 2 nights and arrived at around 4pm. Whilst I have staved there before with each time with an ever worsening service, I will not return. My last stay was blighted by a very rude and discourteous member of staff. I was offered a free upgrade in response to my complaint for this visit but the attitude of the staff was worse than before. There were 2 female members of staff, one Indian and one Polish, at reception who talked down to me and point blank refused to listen to anything I said. The room i had been allocated had no holder for the shower head. I asked politely for another room with a proper shower but I was met with rudeness and an aggressive tone, and the suggestion that I was the aggressor which is totally wrong. All of this made me very upset as they were making me out to be a liar and an inconvenience to them by daring to ask for an appropriate level of customer service. With the intervention of my father I managed to get them to agree to cancel but no apology was made and I made a last minute booking at Voco. The superb treatment I was given there only served to highlight what an awful service I had been given at Novotel.

Such a welcome for sure. Catherine Natasha and Maeve on reception such caring and endearing welcomes. To Colin the father of the hotel and Veronica in the restaurant and bar. Such a special hotel. Home from home. Thank you all from housekeeping to those not mentioned.

Our second stay at this hotel. Once again I couldn't fault it. Clean, comfortable room. The staff were lovely, going above and beyond to assist us. The hotel is perfectly located to access the train station, cruise port, and West Quay shopping and restaurant complex.
