Used to stay in Premier Inn, but now as Accor member tried Ibis. Not disappointed, better value and comfortable. Have booked again for my next trip to Southampton. Tried Novotel too, but not a patch on the Ibis. Staff so friendly at Ibis - sadly not the same at Novotel, real miserable team. Internet better at Ibis too. Ibis is the hotel for me now in Southampton.

Although the room was a little cramped, there was adequate space to move around. Being on my own, I did not need a huge amount of space to wander around the room. There was paid parking here, but nowhere near as expensive as my last hotel in Brighton. Parking is repaid. The hotel is handy for the ferry terminals or cruise ship terminals. They take about twenty minutes to walk,or just a few minutes by taxi. The breakfast was adequate, but not overly exciting.Their menu for an evening meal was not substantial, but this depends on your tastes. All in all I was happy with my stay. The staff were friendly and efficient.

This is a budget hotel and as such expectations were not high but we were very pleasantly surprised. Rooms are compact and may to a bit cramped if you had large suitcases but we had large cabin cases and we had plenty of room. The room was perfectly adequate in terms of comfort, quietness and amenities. Breakfast was really good with everything you would expect. A special shout out to the gentleman that worked evening in the bar, he was very helpful. We would definitely return if we go back to Southampton.

We were supposed to stay overnight on 24 December but were moved over to the Novotel. Disappointing - we had specifically booked to stay at Ibis - because we spent a miserable night in a freezing cold room. The whole experience of visiting Southampton over Christas was spoilt and we won't be staying at either hotel again.

It does what it says on the tin It’s basic but clean I can only imagine the difference between this and the budget is we got a kettle ??? Comfy bed we tried this as preferred 2 rooms with our teens as Novotel family room Bed is shocking Didn’t have breakfast as decided to lie in till late didn’t leave till Midday Parking overnight £10 Easy check in Tv wasn’t working but they came and sorted so all good gave us rooms next to each other £180 for 2 rooms
