Used for first time when flying from Gatwick. Usual park & fly now no longer available so gave Sofitel a go. Parking right by Hotel (signage regarding dropping off could have been clearer). Efficient check-in. Nice room, comfortable bed and very clean. Would definitely use again.

Excellent hotel with very helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent room, clean and well equipped for a three day stay. No aircraft noise. Buffet breakfast had everything you could imagine. Bar area was relaxing and had a good open space, complying with Covid-19 distancing rules. Will stay there again when visiting London or surrounding area.

Poor value with limited services

I think the hotel must be very quiet but I was very disappointed with their service. I had booked a room with access to the Club lounge by this was closed. No alternative was offered and I was still charged for breakfast, which I would have taken in the lounge if it had been open. The suite had a small bathroom with only a shower, which I find unusual for a suite. No bathrobes or face clothes were provided.

We stayed on the 31st of March 2021 for the test and rest at a price of £209. They invoiced me for that amount but I did not get a credit card receipt. When I checked my credit card statement they charged me £309. I have emailed them three times with no response to find out why. I am now overseas so it’s difficult to deal with it

Not as expected

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions with no problems but this time our sleep quality was very poor. The room was so hot and the feather duvet was hot and heavy. Also there was a feather mattress topper which was lumpy and uncomfortable. End result was a maximum of only a few hours of sleep. The bathroom floor was dirty and needed cleaning. Fortunately we ordered breakfast early so we left as soon as we could. We travel as much as we are able but I would definitely think twice before staying again.

Had to be changed to 3 different rooms

When we arrived, we had to be moved 2 times. The first room we were given was half clean. The bathroom was dirty. There was garbage everhwere. The second room was filled with ciggarette smoke. When we went to give in the test the front desk was extremely rude and took a long time to come help us even though there was no one there.

Good sized rooms with all the accessories you would require for your stay. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. large choice to cover all tastes. Staff were as always friendly and polite.

This is a really excellent Hotel. An ideal way to start your holiday with a night in the hotel and an excellent breakfast before your flight. Check in staff were very friendly and efficient and we could choose whether we wanted a room on a lower or higher floor. Could not fault room for cleanliness and convenience.

Regular user of the hotel and I always look forward to the very comfortable beds but the check in experience was poor. I waited at the premium desk and was completely ignored by the staff. I ended up having to queue behind people who had arrived after myself to check in.

Very Disappointed

I have always booked my stay at the Sofitel for more than 15 years now . This was one of my first stays where I was totally disappointed with the room . I paid 147 pounds for a nights stay and ordered dinner via room service . The credit card machine did not function as the WIFI was poor in the room . Our towels had holes in them and were very old . The toilet did not flush properly . I am asthmatic and I noted there was dust in the room ( carpet /curtains ?) and sneezed all night long . To top it off , only one lift was working and it was impossible to get down to the lobby with our suitcases the following morning . It took us almost half an hour as it took ages and when it arrived we could not take it as was filled with guest and suitcases from the other floors . I do . believe it has become old fashioned and needs an upgrade and for what one pays, things should work efficiently like the WIFI , toilets and elevators .

I booked a room on line for Feb 13 and when the confirmation email arrived it was for Feb 21. I called reservations and was told that was my problem, no change of date and no refund was on offer. Now I’m being asked to rate my stay. We stayed in Premier Inn next door and that was excellent. Most comfortable bed, excellent dinner and very helpful, friendly staff. What more can a chap ask?

So bad it lets the Accor Group Down

A terribly poor experience. First, I was denied room service because the check-in desk failed to ask for a card authorisation. Room service claimed their card machine "wouldn't work". Asked them to call the manager. 30 mins later, still nothing. Finally I called reception and asked to speak to the duty manager. She took card details over the phone, which raises the question of why room service couldn't have done this earlier. Second, no water in the room - not a drop, anywhere. Not even in the empty mini-bar. For future guests deprived of this basic necessity, try M&S in Arrivals. Third, despite having booked a "superior" room, what I got was some dismal inner-facing tired looking room. The bathroom is straight out of the 1970s. Honestly, other Gatwick hotels are better.

Convenient for early morning flights and reasonably priced car parking

We were flying out from Gatwick at 7.00am on a flight to Madeira so it made sense to sleep at the airport the previous night. We quite like Sofitel hotels so booked here. I also found out that the hotel had its own car park and accommodated cars for the duration of our holiday. The cost of a bed for 1 night and car parking for 8 days was very reasonable so I booked on that basis. We had a nice dinner in the hotel, a good night's sleep and the car was exactly where we left it when we returned.

Another great stay at this Hotel prior to our flight. We upgraded to have access to the Milleseme Lounge and, as always, the staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive and provided a great service. We are looking forward to returning to the Hotel following our holiday for the overnight stay prior to returning to York

Comfortable and a good start to a holiday - location ideal and room clean. No much more to say and 200 characters is a frustrating limit on a hotel that you spend one night in because you have a flight at 7am!

酒店地理位置极佳,步行至N航站楼只有5分钟,预订的是两大一儿童,给的是连通的两间房,出乎意料。性价比非常高,很推荐入住! Ps:如果早上有多一些热早点(热牛奶)会更棒!

Comfortable stay before a flight out from South Terminal. The room was very comfortable and clean. Good restaurant options, although expensive, both restaurants and bar. We would use this hotel again.

This has always been our choice of hotel when travelling, but since becoming an Accor hotel, we have noticed how it has raised its game. The staff are exceptionally efficient and friendly, starting with the doormen and check-in staff. The rooms contain everything you could possibly want from an overnight stay. The bar area in the Atrium works well, as do the two restaurants.

Always stay at the Sofitel Gatwick. Reliable, comfortable, and very convenient with a bridge to the South Terminal and Shuttle. Restaurants varied though a little pricey. Bed comfortable although a choice of pillows- feather or foam would have been welcome. Checked in on line which worked fine and avoided queues at reception on departure.
