Despite its lack of a pool and rather small feeling reception and breakfast area, this hotel made up for it with spacious rooms, a generous balcony and a great location for a night stay. Even though I was not a fan of Marseille city at all, I found the location of this hotel to be pretty much in the middle of everything good. It is in close proximity to both a large commercial shopping mall and a smaller, cosier one, both around a 5 minute walk away. It is an around a 15 minute walk from the old harbour and main high streets which were honestly disappointing but if you want to buy souvenirs then that’s the place. It is also also near to multiple food establishments and supermarkets such as Monoprix and McDonalds. The lack of a pool is disappointing given the temperature of the city but it is expected due to the fact that the hotel is right in the middle of the city. Furthermore as with most of the Novotels I’ve stayed in within France the air conditioning was subpar but I don’t find it too off putting personally. Finally, the room was very spacious with fairly comfortable beds. The Rituals soap and shower products were very premium and the bathroom door at least had a lock (most other Novotels don’t). We were on one of the corner rooms so the balcony was a bit smaller but still a good size, we were only there for a night as well so we didn’t really use it. The furniture in the room was a bit random looking though but I must say the moveable TV with a long cable was very cool.

Would be very good with a pool!

I wasn't very fussed on this hotel. There was no pool, which is a big deal for me. Also the nearest beach was quite a hike away, about 30 minutes in a car, the food was alright but didn't have much, but they room was quite nice and they were very generous with the balcony space, I think this is a great place to go for a night or two with business.
