Avoid Buffet Breakfast!!!

I regret to inform about my deeply disappointing experience at Mercure Paris Hotel. During breakfast at the open plan buffet, my family and I were horrified to witness a rat freely roaming around the cereal toppings area. Despite immediately alerting the staff, their lackadaisical response, merely attempting to scare it away, was appalling. Upon voicing our concerns to reception, the offered solution was to refund the cost of breakfast for our stay. However, this gesture proved insufficient, particularly over the Easter period when local cafes were closed, leaving us with limited alternatives, especially with young children in tow. What's even more concerning is the management's negligence in failing to promptly address the issue by closing off the affected buffet or restaurant area. Shockingly, breakfast continued as usual for other guests, disregarding the health and safety risks posed by the rodent presence. In light of this experience, I strongly advise to steer clear of Mercure Paris Hotel. Such disregard for cleanliness and guest well-being is utterly unacceptable.

No air conditioning because it's "winter" even though the rooms are too hot. Dated, poorly maintained rooms with chipped walls, chipped toilet seat and a stained chair. This is not a 4 star hotel by any means and I do not recommend staying here for the prices they charge.

I paid extra money for a late check-out (5pm) as I had a late flight and a hotel staff member (not housekeeping) barged in while I was sleeping with no explanation. I shouldn’t be disturbed when paying additional money to be there. Location is very far from anything.

The hotel is fine for what it is. It is a little dated and located well out of the centre of Paris. Actually outside the Peripherique to technically not in Paris. May be suitable for you if you have business in this area or are attending Parc des Princes or other sporting venues nearby. There are a couple of restaurants close and a small supermarket but no restaurant or shopping precincts. No real air-conditioning in the room. Switched off at this time of year apparently.

Reasonable stay until the front desk gave a key card access to the room of my daughter to a group of new guests who entered her room at midnight. I appreciate mistakes can be made at the front desk but we’d been at the hotel for 3 nights by this point. When we complained in the morning I wasn’t offered an apology and was simply told the manager would contact me. It’s been 48 hours since the incident and still haven’t heard from the manager. Pretty disappointing, considering the gravity of the incident and also due to the fact I am a 10+ year Accor silver/gold member
