This hotel offers good value for money, but the rooms are quite small, especially the bathroom, which felt cramped. The location is a big plus, as it's within walking distance of the Sports Institute. However, I was disappointed that they charged extra for drinks, which I believe should be included, given the price. This small issue kept me from giving a full five-star rating. With a bit more attention to these details, it would easily be a top-notch experience. I would still recommend it for its convenience and affordability.

TERRIBLE SAFETY. Access cards given out for our room. Was woken at 00h25 by a stranger. Hotel staff was rude about it.

Stayed at the Ibis budget Sheffield Arena from 15/09/2024 - 17/09/2024. My wife was going to come alone, however I'm extremely grateful I came with her. At 00h25 another guest opened the door to our hotel room. The door was locked from the inside but could still be opened from the outside if an access card was presented. I went down to the concierge (Jurgen) who said that he made the access card for our room and had given it to a new guest. He remarked that this was not his fault but rather the person working on the shift before him. He reports having knowledge that we were in room 125, but had made a new card for the new guest. My access card no longer worked for the room. We did not receive an apology from the concierge nor any sort of acknowledgement that a mistake was made and that our safety was put at risk.

Perfect cheap hotel stay

Stayed over prior to attending an event at the arena. It was a perfect cheap hotel for what we needed. The only thing the hotel needs is more plug sockets, by the bed would be good. Otherwise you only have the plug under the telly to charge your phone etc. Everything else great though, staff very friendly and helpful.

Car park very small and fee payable to park. No hot drinks facilities in room whi ch I have never experienced before, but you could pay £1.95 for a paper cup of coffee. Just disappointing as it felt everything stripped back to be literally a room. No atmosphere but there was plenty of hot water when using the shower. Noisy people outside during the night too. So disappointing visit.

Nice clean hotel in a good location

Very clean rooms and comfortable double bed. Was tricky making the single bed which was above the double bed but we managed. Nice and quiet and a good location. Short walk from many nice places to eat, Paradise Island Crazy Golf, cinema and ten pin bowling with a good archade. There is a tram stop just behind the hotel which was very handy. The continental breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly. The only down side was the fact that there was a shower cubicle with a see through door and a separate toilet so there was no privacy for getting showered or changed etc. We managed fine though as we had two rooms so just worked it out that way. I would stay again :)
