When we arrived the reception was kind, polite and friendly with our late arrival. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble when we asked for extra milk & sugar. Room was basic (as you would expect) but clean and had the necessary amenities needed. The cleaners were polite and offered extra sugar & coffee. All in all, for the price we paid it was a good deal. Only wine downer, the coffee machine in the breakfast lounge broke down. (It happens)

The hotel was okay - basic but that's all we wanted. I was a little worried about the cleanliness after reading the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of restaurants and places offering breakfast along nearby Victoria street. It is within walking distance from the Sydney harbor.

We were very lucky to have a room with opera house and harbour bridge view!

Stayed for 4 nights at this hotel mid Feb. We had a double bed + a single which would close back into the wall. We left the bed down the whole stay so space was pretty squished by liveable. The staff were friendly, My daughter enjoyed the free sweets they have at reception. Location for us was fine, not the most central of hotels but we could walk about 10minutes to the museum of Australia/hyde park or 25mins walk to darling harbour, through main busy streets so wasn't a bad walk. There is a Coles supermarket a few minutes walk from the hotel and the kings cross metro about 5mins walk and buses passing in front of the hotel. The room was basic, there were some signs of wear and tear on the walls etc the bed was comfortable, we were very pleasantly surprised to see the opera house and harbour bridge from our window! The bathroom had a open shower/toilet layout so floor could get a bit wet. We always showered with our flip flips on as it wasnt the nicest looking floor. Basically you get what you pay for. Please do not come expecting 4* and you will be fine.

I read many reviews about this hotel, and I was quite worried about the room size and cleanliness. My mom and I stayed here for three days in Sydney, and it turned out to be exactly what we needed—I was pleasantly surprised! I brought almost five suitcases, yet the room never felt small or cramped. The bed was comfortable, and we were able to rest well. The breakfast was great, offering a variety of options, and the coffee was freshly made by a barista. I’m not giving it five stars because the rooms could use a bit more maintenance. Our shower didn’t have a curtain, so the bathroom would get quite wet, and when we turned off the AC, it created a small puddle on the floor. Most of the staff were very helpful, though some had a bit of an attitude at times—but nothing too serious, LOL. If we visit Sydney again on a tight budget, we would definitely stay here. The hotel is in a very central location—just a 30-minute walk to the CBD and only 2 minutes from Kings Cross train station.

Terrible. It was so dirty. The rooms were unsanitary. Not worth the money at all!!!! I do not recommend this hotel. I was looking forward to this location but this hotel lacks good service and standard. I asked for my sheets to be changed and after servicing the room, the dirty sheets were still left on and they simply just made the bed. Bathroom was disgusting. Bed was hard and old.
