Good location, Consistent quality

I have stayed at four Ibis hotels in the last couple of weeks and the good quality and consistency is evident across France. You know hat to expect when you check in to these properties. I would recommend for business, casual or regular travellers.

Standard Ibis Hotel - good for travellers

This is a standard Ibis hotel with all the usual convenient facilities - comfortable beds, sufficient space and facilities in rooms, free wifi and a good breakfast. Ample parking. Snack food is available in the evening, or there is a grill next door. The hotel building itself is showing some signs of wear and could do with some refurbishment. There is no lift so if you struggle carrying luggage up stairs you should specify a ground floor room, The hotel is well located, amongst several other chain hotels, just off the motorway (although there was no intrusive noise overnight) and next to a Carrefour hypermarket. It is a short walk (15 minutes) from the charming centre of Issoire.

Stopped here recently at short notice when my trip was cut short due to a snow storm. Booked in late and the automated system was easy and straight forward. Room as expected for a Budget IBIS clean and tidy with a good shower and comfortable bed. The staff cam into their own when having left early and stopped a six hours later I realised I had left my expensive watch on my bed side table. That sick sinking feeling followed but to no avail. I spoke to Rose and I can only say what wonderful help and honesty she showed. I t was located posted with tracking and received back in the UK a week later. I have nothing but good words and a great deal of gratitude to the staff. My communication and experience with this establishment promotes positivity and faith in honest hard working people. Thank you and a Merry Christmas.

Easy to find hotel just off the motorway. Quiet, modern , clean, welcoming reception staff, good breakfast and a Carrefour supermarket and petrol station next door. Evening meals are provided by next door Courtpaille restaurant, not great but ok for 1 night.

Not the best .. poor room, bathroom and food out of jars

I stay in IBIS hotels whenever I can, but this IBIS did not come up to the usual standard. I was there in good time, spm on a Tuesdsay, but was given a room very near reception on the ground floor ..in my experience single ladies are not put onto the ground level for security reasons. My bathroom, cold, no heating, had no cover on the ventilation shaft, hence the temperature. Other rooms nearby had much better aspects and covers on the vents (I looked as they were opne).Unpleasant, impossible to reach the toilet tolls on their holders when sitting (as a lady does). I was told these rooms have been upgraded. It was not very evident. My room has a view of the back of the kitchen with hosepipes, beer kegs, unpleasant. Staff friendly enough, but given poor conditions to work under. The parking was not secure, open to the Courtepaille next door, and the CArrefour, and thus to the open road. Food was acceptable but not what I was expecting. A pity as the location is a sensible distance for me, but will think hard and long before staying again. Also, I believe no lift.
